Afternoon all, a lovely sunny day here. We've been for a walk and now there are bits and pieces to be done around the house. While we were having breakfast, a cyclist came off his bike outside on the street. Lots of people stopped to help, doing practical stuff like directing cars past and phoning for an ambulance. We didn't see what happened, just saw him lying on his front with the bike on top of him. There appeared to be a witness, who waited until the police arrived, and then the ambulance came along - the cyclist was badly marked on his elbow and down one side and although he was able to walk and move around, they took him away, probably for xrays. We were talking to one of the pub staff afterwards, and she said that the cyclist was saying that there was a car that made him brake suddenly.....but the witness says that there was no car, and that the cyclist was overtaking two other cyclists, they travel down our hilly street at great speed. The other two cyclists just carried on :? The pub has cctv, so I'm sure that will show what happened. Plenty of sport on today to keep Mr Osc happy :)
