Morning :)
Dull and very windy, rain due on and off.
Nothing planned for today, apart from a bit of checking some details for Bb's birthday tomorrow.
I'm taking him out for the day, but because of weather uncertainty there is now a Plan B :)

Hope everyone has a good day

Morning Ally, Di morning everyone

Lovely morning and going to be another hot day 8-)

Watering done and Grumpy is trying to make the joins look good on the outside walls before it gets too warm.

I spent a couple of hours weeding yesterday - but will start earlier today, was leaking and had to keep coming back to the house to cool down

Hoping to hear from the dentist as to when they can sort me out. The dentist should be back from holiday today.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

That sounds great Ally :)

Let's hope the weather is better in time Di, although it's good to have a Plan B 8-)

Hope you get the dentist stuff sorted Jan xx

Well it's still very windy here, raining too! I might take the bus to go and see D :cute:  Becky has started doing reception one day a week at Woods' smaller branch in Longlevens, just 10 minutes walk from here. It's at the top of Windermere Rd, so they nickname it the Windy Rd branch - well it was certainly windy for her first day there on Tuesday  :cute:

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone
Ally have a lovely day with the parents, lunch on the coast sounds just perfect
Di, as Kaz says - good idea re plan B, the weather really is rather iffy isn't it :(
Jan, hope you hear from the dentist today
Kaz, nice for Becks to have a job just 10 mins down the road, even if it is only one day and the others are a lot further away... I can only dream of a 10 min commute

Dull, grey and blustery here - usual work day for me and then home to make more passata / tomato sauce - I managed to get quite a few cherry toms from the allotment yesterday; so put them in the slow cooker and have set the smart plug to switch on at 10h30 so they're cooked when I get home. There are still loads that need to ripen more so I'm hoping for a few more hot days but not holding my breath. I feel there may be a good few more jars of green tomato chutney in the making.

Vibes for the poorlies - hope you're all feeling a bit better, esp you Saundra x

Have a lovely day all and enjoy whatever it is you're up to

Ria, I think Mick has the best commute - 30 seconds across the landing :geek:

I really need to get on and cook my tomatoes down, the slow cooker is a good idea 8-) 8-) I envy you the green ones for chutney, ours have all ripened! That recipe Debbie gave us made superb chutney 8-) :D

Morning all :D

Overcast and windy

Lunch on the coast sounds lovely Ally.
Good idea to have a Plan B Di.
Hope you hear from the dentist.
((((Saundra)))) take it easy. We popped a casserole in the slow cooker yesterday, it was yummy.

Yesterday was a day of two halves, the afternoon massages were lovely, the mornings visit to the opticians expensive. We'll both be picking up new specs Friday next week £500 lighter :o

Usual weekly shop today, M&S and then Tesco.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Been a lovely hot day and now it's 30C, with a mild breeze, it's heaven.

I've started a new pile of weeds, ready for when we can have a bonfire, probably the end of October/November, depending on the weather.

Popped down to the bar, to check for post, couple of beers, now back in shorts and t-shirt. Always tickles me - Jose served us, then went off with a couple of bottles of beer for Antonio, who is doing some work with him. We were the only people there, door open, window open and no-one else around
