Good morning Ally and all, we’ve got a cool and dull start here.

I’m off into Stafford shortly to do some shopping, Tom starts work at 4 and Joe is home today. John should be back from Sunderland this evening. There’s housework to do, yesterday was a productive day as I sorted the garden out. Lawns were cut and I got all of the bedding plants out and dug the borders over. There’s a bush which needs cutting back a bit so I thinking do that today.

Have a good day all!

Morning Ally, Jo and everyone

Fresh start this morning, warming up to another 32C 8-)

Hope Kaz and M have a pleasant flight and a brilliant holiday - with sunshine :D

Grumpy out making a noise, making sure he can lay the tiles flat

Off to Ourique later, for the normal food shopping, although will pop into the Chinese to see what sort of rubbish sandals they have. I really dislike having to wear anything around my heel, as I always, but always, get blisters. Must remember to take some cash

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing and hugs for our poorlies xx

Morning all

Safe travels and happy holiday to Kaz and Mick - hope the weather holds for them
Ally enjoy the day with the parents x
Jo, I've got so much to do in the garden and just not enough time - these shorter days really don't help. I really hope to be able to cut the lawn very soon but Saturday is meant to be raining all day so it's going to be too wet. May try tomorrow evening after work as it's meant to be a warm day - fingers crossed.
Jan, hope you find some sandals that fit and don't hurt. What tiles is Grumpy laying? And apologies if I missed it, but has the window for the bedroom arrived yet?

Usual / usual for me

ongoing vibes for those that need them; and have a lovely day all x

Morning all!

We've had a nice sleep in, and just have to put a few last minute bits in the cases, then we're good to go! Becky finishes early today, then has a week off, so the dogs are sorted 8-) We're booked into the airport hotel from 4pm so are going to eat brunch at Corretto's (cheaper and nicer than the motorway services) then make our way over there! Our flight is 05.10 tomorrow :?

I'll have my phone and kindle so will still be looking in ;)xxx

Hugs and thoughts for our poorly VVers xxx

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning. Cold and grey here. MrsC and her sis are off to her dad's in a mo, I'll be cooking a chicken curry later.

Don't worry Ria, the forecast will probably be wrong. I could do with a bit of 32c today Jan. You've reminded me Jo, I need to buy a garden fork. We have a lavender in the garden that weeds have got into and it needs to come out. Enjoy your day with your folks Ally and have a good holiday Kaz.

Have a good day all.

Remind me not to go to the Alentejana supermarket at 10.30 - full of school "children" getting their mid morning snack

Looked in the Chinese, didn't like any of their sandals.

Did the Pingo bit, pit stop for coffee on the way home. Bertalina and Odette were there, as well as a young lad who sells all sorts of stuff. He had some sandals :Hi: :Hi: wanted 10 euros for them  He had to go out to his van to get my size, muttering about the English and their big feet   Odette told me to pay no more than 7.50. So I haggled with him and got them down to that price.

He then offered Grumpy a razor     then laughed when he realised what he'd done

Rather warm now, we were going to tackle the wood store, but that can wait until tomorrow morning now.

No Ria, window still not arrived.

Morning all...…...almost :D

Nice and bright here.

Enjoy lunch with your parents Ally.

We always book an airport hotel Kaz, makes a nice start to a holiday, safe flight tomorrow.

How are you today Di xxx

We've bought lots of bulbs for the garden, just need to actually plant them.

I've got a physio appointment at 2.30pm. They cancelled the last one and said they'd pop a new appointment in the post, nothing arrived so I rang them. Apparently my chap has left the trust, makes me wonder if I'd have got a new appointment if I hadn't chased it. Don't know who I'm seeing today, hope he/she is okay.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Afternoon all, it's mostly dull and grey here, and one of those days when it is warmer outside than in. I've been busy - post office early to take out money and also get sterling for our trip to Scotland on Monday. Then back to change the bed and sort out some laundry. I went to the gym, have had my lunch and now just taking a break before we head off to do the supermarket shop. We were to meet friends for a meal on Saturday in a local restaurant, but when I phoned to book for the early bird, they were booked out  So we've decided to have them come hers, so that means a bit more to be bought in the supermarket. Some h/work when we get home.

Vibes for Di today (and every day), and safe travels to Kaz and himself.
