Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 05 Oct 2018, 06:18

Good morning.

Sunny and warm. 8-) 8-)

Picking mum and dad up this morning and going to Tivoli market. They'll get a nice surprise as Jacob's joining us too. :D He's been in the UK for nearly a week visiting Craig and Leilani, flew home last night and stopped at ours. :D

Once we're shopped out we'll have lunch. :D

I've got homework club 4.30 - 6.30 then it's the usual fun of Friday beers and tapas. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone and happy Friday

Have a lovely day Ally and what fab surprise for your parents. Enjoy the tapas later today

Well Friday = office lunch day; Thai today - yum yum yum! Also RMT strike action on the trains so I was on an earlier fast train so in the office 1/2 hour earlier than normal; I'm so over the RMT and their striking; there's really no reason for it.

Continued vibes for Di and anyone that may need them xxx

Have a lovely day all

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

Sunny and cool ish at the moment, warming up later.

Lovely surprise for your mum and dad Ally :D

Will be finishing off the wood store later, cooling own quite a bit next week and need to order some wood from Heldar.

Keep meaning to ask Ria, how's your new neighbour?

The birthday boy has requested bacon, egg and fried bread for breakfast, so that's what we'll be having. Going to the Coimbra tonight.

Hugs for our poolies, hope Di had a better night x

Havea good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Happy Republic day Jan! Enjoy your Thai meal Ria and what a nice surprise for your folks Ally.

Going to do the big shop in a mo. It will be no hardship because git across the road is having his trees trimmed and it's a bit noisy here atm. I love trees but they do need doing. MrsC has informed me that we need to buy a high chair and cot for Eliza, when we are looking after her on an overnight basis.

And with one mighty bound (or limp), I'm off. Grey here today but not cold.

Have a good day everyone.

Happy happy birthday to Grumpy - hope he has a lovely day. Please buy him a birthday beer or two from me - will settle up next year :D xxx

never there!   Seriously since she moved in I don't think she's spent more than one or two nights in the flat. I know she does house sitting / dog walking for people so assume she's looking after someone's home at the moment; and from what I've seen on my wildlife camera she seem to come home during the day for a few hours but that's it. Suits me for now :D :D :D

Morning all, it's dull and a bit damp here, plus quite cool. Gym shortly, then hairdresser this afternoon and dancing tonight.

Crommers, we got our high chair in Argos and it took us through the two grandchildren, after which we passed it on to someone else. Also, watch out for a travel cot in Lidl or Aldi when they have them on offer, very good quality for not a lot of money, and ours was actually bigger than Miss Osc's more expensive one, both children used it until they were over 3.

Good morning all, it's hazy and mild here at the moment.

We have a rare occurrence in our house at the moment; I'm home alone (although Billy's here obviously). Tom has an early shift so was out before 8 and Joe left for college at 7.30. John had already left to cycle into work at that point. I have until 2.30ish when Tom gets home. He's off to Shannon's for the weekend shortly after that. I've run through the house like Julie Andrews ran up the hill in the Sound of Music before hanging out two loads of washing and then catching up with Doctors and The Great British Menu on iPlayer while eating mince pies

Happy Birthday to Grumpy!

Ria, no wonder you're fed up with the trains! We've had ongoing engineering work on our line for a few years now and it's a dreadful service, plus we had to tolerate London Midland running the trains. West Midlands Railways won the franchise and made great promises but they haven't done any better. This week they've took to halving the number of carriages on the already rammed morning rush hour services so not only has the first train just after 7 been cancelled some days due to overnight engineering work overrunning but the following trains have had less capacity so people have been unable to get on.

Have a good day all!

He's playing in the wood store, with wood, I've just made a keema curry - in this heat   - for tomorrow, waiting for that to finish cooking, then I'm heading for the pool 8-)

Our trains aren't so bad, although the one Ria came up on was rather late - they're normally pretty good on time. But they've been on strike recently, as have the taxi drivers, school teachers, policemen and nurses

The little one which runs the length of the Algarve was always 10 minutes late
