Morning Jan, morning everyone.

Just watched a gorgeous sunrise sitting outside with a coffee. 8-) 8-)

I'll have a swim shortly then get ready to go over with Don to mum and dad's. We're meeting the twins over there and we're all going for lunch. I love the fact that our lads enjoy spending time with their grandparents (or the GP's as they're affectionately known  )

Back to watch the Malaga game in Jose's. It's a national holiday here so no homework club. :D :D

Usual Friday night beers and tapas with the gang. :D :D

Have a good day everyone.

Got to laugh....as I'm typing this my lady wot does is warbling her way round my house. She thinks she can sing and she so can't.

Morning all.

Group hugs ((((VVers)))) xxx

We didn't get home until about 7 last night, it took 12 hours in all! The transfer to the airport took 2, then we had a very turbulent flight with the bumpiest landing I've ever experienced! Mick and I were on aisle seats across from each other so I couldn't even hold his hand  We had the seats by the middle doors and the guy in the window seat was drunk and fell asleep, jerked awake and nearly grabbed the door handle  On the plus side I don't think I will ever be scared of flying after surviving that :P

Then a 5 hour crawl home, terrible traffic on the M25 and an accident in the M4, so it was great to get home 8-) The dogs went mad to see us, B had them groomed while we were away so that was good. She'd also got fish and chips in for us! :)

Today will be unpacking, washing and shopping for food :) We had a good time, but it's nice to be home xxx

Love to all xxxxx

Good morning all, it's very wet and very windy here.

John's had to do a quick repair job on the fence as one post is rocking around. Joe's gone to college and Tom's working from 2pm. I have housework to do and there's some ironing too. John's off to see his Mom tonight, she's guilted him into going and he doesn't really want to. She wants some garden furniture moving into her garage for a start; none of the four adult male family members who all live within a mile or two of her have offered - one nephew even asked her if John, Tom or Joe would be visiting anytime soon and could do it!

Kaz, I'll bet you're glad to be home - thank goodness you flew yesterday rather than today though! Worst turbulence I've ever been in was coming back from NY, just off the NE coast of the US. It was awful, I'm usually okay because normal service continues and drinks still get served etc but on this occasion the crew sat in their seats and the entertainment system was all switched off and all you could hear was people gasping as the plane lurched around.

Ally, today sounds like it'll be a good one, just what you need xx

Have a good day all!

Good morning all

Ally enjoy the day with the boys and the parents. I know I've said it before but I really do envy them (and anyone else that has it) the relationship they have with the grandparents. We always lived to far away so never really had a chance - and in those days there was no skype, internet etc... so it literally was only when we saw them every 2nd year for a few weeks and that was only my mom's parents. Dad's parents were ill before we moved so never were able to fly to SA.
Jan, fingers crossed you get some answers re the cards - that's taken forever and a day; even by Portuguese standards ;)
Kaz, welcome home. I love being away but always look forward to getting home again. And fab of B to have dinner bought in for you - that's just perfect
Poll, do take it easy - fast super brisk walk is probably as healthy (if not better for you) than a run - less impact on the joints and gets the heartrate up as well
Jo - that's shocking that no-one is helping John's mom if they live so close. I'd pick up the phone and give them what-for. That's just horrid

Friday today = office lunch. Italian today. Then meeting a friend after work so home a bit later than usual. But we're meeting at 5.30 and I'll be done by 8pm latest - it's been a long week so I'll make sure I'm on the 8 or 8.30 train home.

Have a lovely day all x

Ria, it's not really worth the hassle. She doesn't help matters anyway by being so flippin' awkward.

Jan, I hope you can get your cards ASAP! I know it's not bank cards (but they seem to come within a few days here) but Joe wasn't happy with the pic on his driving licence because they'd linked it to his passport when he had his provisional and used the photo from that which was taken when he was 12 and that had then carried over to his full licence  I ordered him a new one using his updated passport photo and I did the application online last Thursday afternoon and the new licence arrived on Monday morning.
And he doesn't like that pic either :P
