Morning all. Dull grey and windy here.
We worked out our income and expenditure last night. We should have been doing this long before now but anyway we both feel a bit better for it. Hopefully we can now plan for the big bills rather than get smacked around the lughole by them.
In a while I'll do the weekend shop, I think Christine will watch the Royal Wedding. Robbie Williams's mum's hat has blown off, apparently.

The cards are at the bank Took me 2 hours and about 10 phone calls, as they kept saying to phone back in 10 minutes, then the phone wasn't answered

Afternoon all

We had heavy rain and winds overnight, dry now, but rather overcast and dull.

Glad you've finally sorted the bank cards Jan.

Completely forgot about the royal wedding, not too bothered though, will probably see some of it on the news.

After a busy day yesterday, felt we deserved a nice long lie in this morning. I've got an appointment at 2.30pm with the diabetic lady at our surgery. Obviously diet plays a big part, I've managed to lose 8lb over the last 4 weeks, slow but going in the right direction. I have a very good understanding of what I should be avoiding so it will be interesting to see if she recommends other changes.

Afternoon all, they tell me there were very strong winds and rain overnight, but I never heard a thing It's fairly miserable now, but not too cold and not much wind. I am shattered today though and that sinusy thing is still hanging around. I went to the gym this morning and into the cafe afterwards, so I feel slightly virtuous I need to get some money out in the post office and I'll do a bit of grocery shopping locally, but we've decided not to go dancing tonight, and hopefully I'll be back to normal tomorrow.
