Shocking

Postby Kaz » 08 Dec 2018, 11:49

This happened a few streets away from us last night :( The air ambulance landed on the playing field opposite our house, although the incident happened in nearby Armscroft Park :( There is a serious knife problem here in Gloucester, with youngsters, this is the second serious incident near us in the past couple of years :( Yet it looks so peaceful and "respectable" round here, it's hard to credit it  :o :?

It is shocking.

Nowhere seems to be safe for people of a certain age range, mainly boys/men, for whom knives appear to be almost like an item of jewellery.

Really shocking and so sad that these lads seem to think it's "normal" to carry a knife.

It's so sad, and far too common now. There's a big knife problem in Birmingham too.

It's such a worry being a parent to youngsters now

It's hard to understand why these sort of things are going on nowadays. It certainly is extremely shocking.

The reason is, I believe, that today's parents do not take enough interest in what their children are doing.

When I was a youngster, my parents would have known just what I was carrying. I can only think that too
many parents today are spending so much time on their smartphones, etc., that they are failing to do the
necessary supervision of their children. Modern technology has a lot to answer for, with advantages and
disadvantages in equal measures. If my presunptions are correct, their isn't much at all we can do about it.
