Morning Ally, morning everyone

Not as warm as it has been and a little overcast this morning, but the sun will come out to play sometime today 8-)

Off to Ourique later, need the essentials, beer, wine, water and some fresh veg.

I have some sewing to do on a couple of pairs of trousers, only hemming, nothing too difficult 8-) Will sit outside later and do that.

We'll also be heading down to the bar, only to check the post. But we might have a beer or two whilst we're there

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Hope your bonkers day goes well Ally ;)

You've reminded me Jan, a seam on my favourite winter jacket is coming undone, so I need to sew it back up! Have a good one xx

It's grey and cold here, but not wet - yet! :? I'm contemplating getting my hair cut, or I might wait until tomorrow or Friday - will see how busy it is when I get into town. Lunch with D, as per on a Tuesday. B has gone to work, but seems to be brewing a cold! Luckily Tuesday is her quiet day, at the smaller Longlevens branch 10 minutes walk from here.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

I hope your town is not over busy Kaz, so that you can get something done. What is it with people in the run up to Christmas? They turn as foul as a bag of rats, really ill tempered and impatient.
Shopping to be done this morning, so shortly it's off to buy a curtain rail and Christmas presents.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all, the rain seems to have stopped (for now) and the sun is trying to break through.

Joe's gone to college and Tom's off to meet Shannon in Lichfield for lunch. They're going to try and book a restaurant for us to all go out to on Sunday night (all being us four and Shannon and her parents, she's an only child). We'd suggested one and it turns out that she and Tom go there for lunch quite often and they were really keen but when she suggested it to her Mom she said it didn't sound like her sort of thing, I think she was fancying a pub meal. We're not bothered either way, it'll just be nice to all get together. I found some pubs with excellent food reviews in Lichfield last night so sent S the links and she replied that she's trying to convince her mother that different is good so that we can go to the original place

Kaz, I hope Becky's cold doesn't come to anything. Good luck in town! I'm bracing myself to go to Stafford tomorrow, the buses have been packed the last few weeks. We're the 5th stop into the journey and they've already been pretty much full with just a couple of seats left when they've got here and there's still another 9 miles to go after that!

Crommers, I've noticed that with people too.

Have a good day all!

Morning all, I’m on the train to Cork with my sister on our way to see our brother. It is very dull and dreary the further south we go, although it was nice in Dublin. Not used to an early start - I did go to bed early but woke at 4am and really didn’t sleep again before the clock went off at 5.45. We’ve been chatting, and I have written some Christmas cards. Might read my book .... or try for a snooze :?

Morning all :)

Dull and overcast again, missing the sunshine.

I've got a podiatry appointment at 1.30 today. This one is with the NHS, they turned my referral down the first time, but the diabetes has changed that. Not sure what to expect, the private chap gave me insteps which didn't fit properly in any of my shoes, made them very tight and uncomfortable. Walking in them was absolute agony, persevered for weeks, but finally had to give up. The ankle is still playing up, can be very painful some days, but at least I can walk.

Hope you all have a good day Image

Town wasn't too bad at all not crowded, but my hairdresser has changed her day off (I did know but had forgotten  ) so I didn't get my haircut! I did get to meet the latest addition to the Jones family at lunch! No, not our Poppy this time, but Wilson, my brother and sister in law's four month old Weimeramer puppy! They're staying at Doreen's until tomorrow :) He's very cute, but pretty boisterous, he knocked my tea over and it soaked my jumper! Luckily it had gone tepid, so sunburnt me
