Washing machine on and after breakfast, I'll whizz round and be a domestic goddess Grumpy is finishing off the door frame for the new bedroom - he was playing with his router yesterday and making patterns

Meeting Jan and Joaquinha down the bar this afternoon. He has the bill for us, for the car. A mighty 294 euros There are a couple of things that need to be done in a coupe of months, front brakes and some pipe or other, but he'll come here and do that.

Good morning all, I think the word of the day is ‘bleak’. I’m just back from a bitterly cold walk.

We’re off to Birmingham Dogs Home, the Wolverhampton centre, shortly with a shoebox of treats and essentials. Actually it’s a large box which some boots came in which I was glad I’d kept as there’s a blanket in there which would’ve filled a shoe box I can call into a garden centre nearby and get Rog a gift voucher too. We’re hoping the aerial man will come today, he said he would, and sort out our TV signal. He said he’d call an hour before he comes. Could do with calling in to see my parents and there’s an Amazon delivery coming after 6pm.

Tom’s working and I think Joe’s off to Birmingham.

It’s Bill’s 7th birthday today and he’s already spotted his presents so I’ve had to put them out of his reach until the others get up. He loves wrapped presents, which is why Christmas presents never get put under the tree until just before we go to bed on Christmas Eve

Good morning all - bleak is a pretty good description of our weather too, Jo, it's cold, wet and miserable and not supposed to change for the day. I do need to pop to the post office so it'll be on with the wet gear. Otherwise, ironing and knitting are the plan for the day with the Strictly final on tonight.

Morning all its beyond freezing here with north sea gales aswell a neighbour is pressure washing his daughters car as well whole she is on holiday in Tenerife im going to put my xmas tree up all 4ft no room for a big tree hope you all have a good day

Dry. but very cold here. Saw on Fb there was a bit of snow in Dover yesterday, hoping it doesn't come this way.

Another easy day for us, just changed the bed so the sheets are in the wash. Must start the wrapping, shouldn't take too long. The older grandchildren wanted vouchers, easy peasy, so just Z and the boys to do.
