Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 30 Dec 2018, 07:45

Good morning.

Another pleasant day forecast. 8-)

Exercise free day today - I'm on bacon baguette duty as Conor stayed over last night.

Seeing as we're flying tomorrow morning to the UK I need to get my rucksack out and have a think about what to pack. :D

Making chicken dhansak for dinner.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Gorgeous sunrise this morning and we're also in for another warm day.

Off shopping soon, and if they have those enormous sausages on the grill, we'll have a couple of those for breakfast.

More work in the garden later. The previous owner had various outbuildings scattered all over the garden. Only the bases were left and we have one more to shift. We've been having our fires on it, but as we've now reached the end - I hope - of all the big cuttings back, if we need a small fire, we'll use the field.

I have the dubious honour of scattering horse manure around all the plants

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all! :)

Ally it's fairly mild here, certainly not as cold as last Christmas was! Safe flight tomorrow :) xx

Happy manuring Jan!

Our visitors have left this morning. We've had an absolutely brilliant couple of days with them - I wish my sister lived nearer, it would be great to see them more often....She'd like to retire over here, but Paul would never move that far from London I don't think :? We're having a quiet day today, although we will pop and see D at some point :)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

You never know with your sister Kaz. Lots of people decide to leave London and move somewhere quieter. I'm glad you enjoyed your time with her.
Not a bad morning here but we're all a bit up in the air. Son in law has got viral labyrinthitis, a nasty germ that gets in your inner ear and affects your balance. He is also burning up with a fever; our daughter is terrified in case Eliza catches it. Lee went to casualty last night and ended up being told that he had to "ride it out".
So I don't know what's on the cards today.
It is a nice morning weather wise. Later on the gas man is coming to look at our boiler, which is playing up.
Have a good day all.

Morning all

Agree Kaz, it really is very mild at the moment. I do wonder if we'll have a repeat of last year in that February / March are the cold months? And agree with Crommers; Paul may well decide that your neck of the woods is perfect for retirement; or even just a bit closer to you.
Ally, safe flight over and have a fab time; how long are you here for?
Jan, happy shopping and then pootling in the garden.
Gosh Crommers, that sounds really unpleasant for Lee - hope he feels better soon and also hope he doesn't pass it on to anyone else in the family :(

I need to get out into the garden today as well; the greenhouse needs clearing out. It's also the three monthly allergy cover bed wash day for me today - it's such a cumbersome job that I'm glad it only needs to be done every three months. The regular bedding obviously gets washed weekly but the dust mite allergy covers I have over the pillows, duvet and mattress don't need that often. The mattress one esp is a right royal pain as I have to lift and flip the mattress which isn't the easiest if a) you're on your own and b) it's a very small bedroom with very little space to move around - oh well. Once done then I can not worry about it until March :D

Hope you all have a lovely day and enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning all...…almost

Dull and overcast, but E says it's actually quite mild out there.

Not much happening, a bit of washing on the go and that's about it. Oh and I've got a casserole in the slow cooker, can't be bothered with a roast dinner today.

Hope you all have a good day :)

Good afternoon all.

It's not very bright here today, but we're not going anywhere. Having a quiet homely day, watching TV.

Hope you are all feeling fine.
