We'll need to light the fire little earlier, I'm sat here in socks, slippers and 3 layers

Off into the field tomorrow, to collect old estevas, they burn brilliantly :D

I got really hot lugging wood around, wheeling barrowing it up from the bottom field, the sun is out and it's glorious.

Looked at the temperature - 45C in the sun :o :o Going down to 1C tonight

Thought I'd make a chilli for Grumpy - not my kind of thing. Defrosted some mince yesterday, went to get the kidney beans and not a kidney bean in sight   I have white beans, black eye beans, chickpeas, black beans, but the only red one's I have are dried and need 24 hours in water.

So a rummage in the fridge later, we have a concoction of mince, two different chorizo's thinly sliced, black beans, onion and a tin of tomatoes. Smells alright, will see what it tastes like later

Got some bargains yesterday. A new coat from Primark for £10 and some Christmas tree lights. Every year I put the lights on, think there aren't enough and make a mental note to buy more before doing the tree the following year but never do!
I went into Wilko in Stafford and they were selling off boxes of 200 warm white lights at £3, reduced from £10, so I got two boxes.

Take it steady Frank. there is a really nasty cold/fever going around and you seem to have got it. Don't be shy about going to the docs.

I despair, really I do  Just been in a chemist (not my local one) and bought two cans of hairspray. The young woman rang them up on the till at €7.98 each = €15.96. I thought that sounded wrong and saw that the price sticker said €5.35 = €10.70. She had already given me change from my €50 for the higher amount when I pointed this out to her. It took two of them to work out the extra change I was due, using their fancy till. I had it worked out in my head, but one of them had to get a calculator in the end to figure out that they owed me another €5.26.
