Morning Jo, Kaz and everyone

Foggy, so we had a lie-in and have just got up. Supposed to be brighter later.

We have about 10 partridge in the garden :D :D and molly is out too  and the hunters, but I don't think partridge is on the menu.

Ironing will be done later and if the fog lifts and it turns out warm, I'll do some more weeding.

Hope you sil is getting better Crommers.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all

Thinking of my mom today; it's my aunt's funeral and it's not going to be an easy day for anyone. My brother Frank will be there as well representing us kids which I'm pleased about.

Jan, hope the weather clears and you can get outside a bit
Jo and Kaz, happy shopping. I am determined to use up what I have in the cupboards before I buy any more because I've got loads of little bits of everything. And this year I would like to go as plastic free as possible so when I do replace some things may need a bit of research :D . I'm going to get myself some of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15-Pcs-Reusable-Produce-Bags-Black-Rope-Mesh-Vegetable-Fruit-Toys-Storage-Pouch/302951342635?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20160908110712%26meid%3D670862f0fe0d4d81b7ccafc2859d44ef%26pid%3D100677%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D30%26sd%3D362326306865%26itm%3D302951342635&_trksid=p2385738.c100677.m4598: so I can buy more lose veg etc...
Crommers, hope your SIL is feeling better

Kaz, once it was light I noticed that the frost was only on the common. There's nothing on the walk around to there but it was too dark to see on the way out

Ria, I'm doing my best to use less plastic this year too. I try to drink plenty of water but our tap water here isn't very nice so I tend to drink sparkling water instead which means buying bottles but I've now got a Soda Stream so haven't bought any bottled water for home since getting it in November. I'm going to invest in a chiller bottle for when I'm out and about too so that I can take some with me rather than buy bottles when out.
I hope the funeral goes as well as it can xx

Another thing I need to do today is push the rubbish down in the recycling bin! Our council are usually really good over Christmas and do weekly collections of each bin rather than fortnightly but for some reason this year they've emptied the household bin weekly over the last three weeks but not the recycling bin! It was last done on Dec 20th and won't be emptied again until next Tuesday, the 8th.

Kaz, hopefully your Sainsbury's will be as quiet as the one in Stafford yesterday!

Thanks everyone. Yes, Lee is a bit better. He still looks like death warmed up but he does feel better. Both he and our daughter have now got what Gal has had, that awful cold that gets on your chest and you can't shift. Sergio across the road has had it for six weeks! All of them at some point have had to sleep in a chair because they couldn't sleep lying down. I've never known a winter when so many people have fallen ill.

Today is pretty free. MrsC is going over to her dads, we'll see after that. Grey and a bit chilly here.

Have a good day all.

Afternoon all :D

Quite bright here.

The water here is very hard and I was buying lots of bottled water, but we've managed to cut down on plastic quite considerably by investing in a Brita tap when the new kitchen was installed. I now only buy the odd bottle if I'm driving a distance and might need a drink.

We've been very lazy again, not long had brekkie. Back to normal and the weekly shopping trip to M&S and then Tesco. Don't need a great deal, but we're completely out of fruit and veggies so need to stock up again.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Slowly clearing now, but we lit one of the fires earlier. Still hazy over the hills.

Curry made for Saturday, now just going to read 8-) 8-)
