Both he and our daughter have now got what Gal has had, that awful cold that gets on your chest and you can't shift. Sergio across the road has had it for six weeks! All of them at some point have had to sleep in a chair because they couldn't sleep lying down.

I've still got it Crommers :? I've been poorly since December 16th, and it's still ongoing! I've got ABs but I'd have thought they'd be making an impact by now (since Monday) but nope. More worrying is the pain in my chest but I think that's the infection....feels like indigestion and could even be caused by the ABs but it's there. Sleeping is a bit easier now, at least. It's a nasty one is this. I'm glad Lee is a bit better, hope he is able to fight this 'thing' now.

Jen popped in earlier as she is meeting her dad (!!) for lunch at a pub here in the village - he is here to visit his mum and sister as well as see Jen. I won't see her again as she will be going straight back to Kyle's afterwards.

I should go and do a grocery shop but I CBA....see how I feel later.

Have a good day whatever you are doing x

Jen, I used to have a Brita jug which fitted nicely into the fridge door before we moved but that fridge wouldn’t fit into the space in this kitchen and the layout of the replacement fridge doesn’t allow room for the jug. I loved it though, it certainly improved the water.

Saundra, I saw some of the bottles in TKMaxx yesterday and one looked an ideal size, but I forgot that you’ve got to allow for the insulation so luckily I read the label and it didn’t hold very much at all, just 250ml I think.

Our water is filtered anyway, we have to, because of the high mineral count. I use it for cooking and sometimes in coffee. The builders drank it when they were building the pool and I've tried it a few times. We really should have it tested, to see if we can safely drink it. But Judy and Carlos, just down the track said theirs is no good for anything :? and smells.

But we normally use the 5 litre bottled water, as do most people over here. The bottles are squished and put into the recycling bins, by the bar.

And the small bottles are washed and re-used.

The mist/fog lifted for an hour or so this afternoon and it got really hot, but soon came back

In this area it has a slight taste and smell to it. It's not as bad as at the farm we've always gone to in Cornwall though, we always buy bottled water there even to make tea and coffee.

Funnily enough, I noticed on Aldi's bottled still water (and I've seen it elsewhere too) that it comes from a spring about 10 miles away from us.

I hope things went as well as possible Ria xxx

I drink water straight from the tap. It is quite hard here, but tastes ok :) I use a refillable bottle to carry in summer, or to take to classes ;)

Gal, get better soon, that's a long time now! :(

I'm glad Lee is on the mend Crommers! xx

Jo it was almost deserted!

Pilates was a struggle, I'll ache tomorrow :cute:
