Morning Jan, morning all :)

I hope the sun comes out for you Jan :) xx

It's cold here, hopefully it will stay dry but wintery showers are on the cards :cute: I'm going into town to get my hair cut, then have some housework to catch up on later. Harry is starting driving lessons today! :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning VVers.

Boy is it cold! It is -2ºC just now and the top temp forcast for the day is only 3ºC with possible sleet showers. The best "feels like" temp is -1ºC.

I might have to put the heating on.

Have a good day everyone and wrap up warm if you are out and about. xx

Good morning all, it’s a bit BRRR!! here :)
We’ve got those Wintery showers forecast too.

Me and Bill had a frosty walk this morning. We got back just as Joe was leaving for college, Tom’s since gone to work.

Good luck to Harry, Kaz! How is he getting on at college now? xx

Blimey Frank, the heating? You might have to wear a coat if it gets much colder :P

Have a good day all!

Jo he finished college in July. He decided not to do the extra year on the B Tech, as that was all leading up to Uni entrance. Uni isn't for Harry. He'd like a sport related job but Sainsbury's is filling in for now :) xx

Good morning all, it's wet and miserable here. I was up quite early as I had a one on one trainer session booked in the gym for 9.30. I enjoyed it, and it is certainly something I would do again occasionally. Back for the rest of my breakfast. We were to visit Mr Osc's brother in hospital but that has been postponed. It'll probably mean I will have to do some ironing :( and maybe I will finish the little mittens for Kellie that she asked me to knit yesterday. We are supposed to go dancing tonight but will see how we feel.

Kaz, I remember you saying in Birmingham that you didn't think it was a good idea that he carried on. I'm still not sure what Joe will do when his course finishes, I think he missed the boat for an engineering apprenticeship; he'd already applied for a couple midway through his course but they were for kids who were ready to start at the beginning with college so he wasn't suitable, it was something to do with funding for the course.

Jo, does Joe know what he wants to do, really wants to do, and are his studies aligned to taking him there?

I ask because Becky was all over the place. One week it was this, the next it was that, then suddenly she found what she wanted to do, but was on the wrong course. She jacked in, did part time work while brushing up on her 'new' subject, and then got on to her ideal course.

It cost us getting her out of Manc and into Leeds, but it was worth it in the end. She got a first and all sorts of doors opened.

It might not be a bad idea for you all to sit down and talk things through, but be warned: it will not be easy. Joe might be fine carrying on with what he is doing, but if he wants or needs to jump tracks he will need your support.

(((((hugs))))) to you all.

To be clear, we were dead against Becks leaving Manc because as parents we knew best. Turns out we were wrong and Becks knew what was best for her. :D
