Oh dear, a row is brewing.

We do not have parking spaces so everyone parks on the left-hand side of the road. Half way down on the right is an opening to where some garages were. This area was sold to build some bungalows and flats. Objections to the scheme were ignored.

Today a builder's lorry with bricks and other materials arrived, one of those with a crane on the back. It needs to swing over to the left in order to make a turn into the building site but there are cars parked so it cannot get in. The driver has been door knocking to try to get them moved, but without any luck.

The thing is that out-of-towners use our estate as parking during the day. Residents have usually gone by 07:45 so they move in and park. They then get the bus into Leeds as it is quicker and cheaper than driving in and parking and nobody knows who owns the cars, hence the builder's lorry problem.

There may be trouble ahead.... :|

Oh that's rubbish Jan... I know it's a pain to do, but could you build a cage around some of the veg bed?

We-ve thought about it Ria. Didn-t have a problem last year, and of course, expect Molly to catch the rabbits,

We-ll have to get chicken wire and dig it into the garden, otherwise they will burrow under it.

Obviously, they do not like cabbage, onions or broad beans, they have all been left alone

It's not one of my haunts, but D will be sorry as she's been a few times. That's another empty shop, bang in the centre of town. It will be another poundshop or betting shop, I suppose :(

Jan, a former neighbour kept some chickens, but lost a few to urban foxes. Her solution was to lift the turf about a metre from the enclosure and then lay chicken wire up to the fence and then up that by some way, the turf was then relayed. It would certainly work with rabbits as they could not jump over it.

We're going into Ourique later and will be getting some.

Typically, Molly, who loves rabbits - to catch - won't go out when its windy or cold at night. And it's both at the moment

Don't blame Molly, I'd also not want to go out in that weather

Good luck with the fence shopping, hope you find a solution
