Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 24 Jan 2019, 06:14

Good morning.

How can it be Thursday again?! The time is flying by!

Forecast sunny and 20 degrees. 8-)

Said Thursday means it's #bonkers day 2.

Meeting a friend at noon for coffee and a pitufo which will be a nice break from exam marking.

Meeting Don when I finish at 9 for a beer and a bite to eat. It's the start of our weekend.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Still blowing a hooley  and quite cloudy this morning

Will check on what's left of the veg this morning. We put netting around the cabbages and anchored it down and pegged it to metal poles, so hopefully, they weren't able to get at them. It's still standing, which I'm surprised about, in this wind. We're debating on getting more broccoli and cauli or just not bothering.

We'll do the shopping this afternoon, then it's off to the dentist. They cancelled Monday's appointment, a hour beforehand

Pit stop at the bar on the way back and something out of the freezer for dinner, as I wont have time to make anything.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning A & J and everyone.

It is cold, damp and grey but at least it is frost free, just. :)

Volunteering this morning though with nothing planned for the afternoon. If it stays dry I might go for a walk later.

Have yourselves a good day. xx

Morning all :)

Ally I hope the exams are going well! :geek: Enjoy your well-earned break at lunchtime 8-) :) xx

Jan good luck at the dentist's, and with the bunny situation! xx

The best way to describe the weather here is murky - it's very grey, very dreary! Food shopping with D this morning, and I have some bedding to iron which may or may not get done ;) :cute: Went to Zumba last night, it's usually boiling in that hall but last night I kept my hoody on for the first few songs! It was absolutely freezing out!

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Just been for a wander down to see the veggies - what's left of them :cute: :cute:

Somehow or other, those blasted rabbits got over the netting   and have munched the majority of the cabbage

We now have more blue sky than grey and it's quite mild 8-)

Now there is no need for that. You'll have everyone thinking I am a modern day Rip van Winkle. :P :P

Morning all. Good luck with the lop eared bandits Jan!

Today our daughter and son in law are off to stay at the Devonshire Arms (posh North Yorkshire Hotel) for a night. MrsC will be looking after baby Eliza until they get back, which will probably be tomorrow afternoon. Sister in law and myself will be helping. MrsC is sleeping over, I'm not.

Have a good day all.

Morning everyone

It's rather nippy this morning, not helped that one of the boilers of the building we're in isn't working as it should so it's struggling to heat up the place. Also not helped that the windows (and there are loads!) are aluminium frames so they just bring in soooo much of the cold as well.

Crommers; wise move not staying over :D at least that way one of you get some sleep
Frank, remind me; where do you volunteer. I know you've mentioned it before but I forget :(
Kaz, Jan and Ally, enjoy your days doing all the bits you are up to

Usual / usual for me which is nice; already looking forward to home time and getting home to where it's warm

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it is dull, damp and dreary here although the rain has eased off for the moment, and it is not as cold. Children day today. Miss Osc and I are going to Boyzone tonight, going a bit early so we can have something to eat beforehand. We were going to go by public transport, but now I'm bringing our car as we both admitted that is rather nice to get into the car and drive straight home, so I have booked the car into the car park under the venue. This is their last Dublin concert (they say) although we were at their last "last" concert
