Morning Ally, everyone.

It is clear but overcast and it looks as though the frost will be slow to clear. There is no wind to shift things so it could be set for the day.

Nothing much planned but I might go for a walk after lunch.

Have an easy day and keep warm. xx

Morning both. Son in laws op yesterday, he's being discharged this afternoon. Actually it was two ops. One to reduce the size of the valve in his throat to try and stop acid reflux and one for a hernia. He didn't get much sleep, they kept taking his blood pressure, gave him a blood thinning injection to stop clotting plus there was someone on the ward with dementia who screamed all night. Hospitals aren't reallythe place for a good night's sleep.

In a bit I'm going over the road to give Sergio a lift. He needs to get some food to a relative in a nearby village and to take his ex-wife's dog back, which he has been dog sitting for the past week. The battery in his Clio has given up the ghost.

after that I don't really know. I suppose it depends a lot on whether we get the snow we were being warned about yesterday.

Have a good day and stay warm. Not a problem for you Ally! :)

Morning :)

Enjoy your days both, Ally and Jan :D

Crommers, all the very best for your SIL, hope he gets home today! xxxx

It's wet here but very cold, and the forecast says it might turn to snow! :? I'm off into town shortly to meet a friend for a cuppa, then up to see D where I've been promised asparagus soup, made in her new soup maker :) I also need to get to the P.O. as I have a book to send Aunty Rose, and a package with birthday cards etc in for Harry, who will turn 19 on Friday!

Some sad news for B last night, her step-grandfather has died, up in Scotland. He'd been I'll for a while, so it was expected. She'll be flying up for the funeral, the weekend after next, and meeting her dad and possibly Harry up there, as they'll go up by train. Flying from Bristol, much quicker and cheaper than the train :?

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it's pretty damp and dreary here, although not actually raining. We are going to do the supermarket shop today, and we want to get a few other bits too, so will go to a shopping centre rather than Lidl. My friend's mother died on Sunday, this is my friend who lives in Boston but has a little apartment here too. She had been here since before Christmas but had to return to Boston as planned last Tuesday, so sadly was not here when her mother died, she arrived back this morning. Her mother was 95, and growing up, we all thought she was very exotic as she was French.

Morning all, it's just started to rain here.

I took Billy for a long walk first thing, we were back by 8 and just in time to see Joe before he left for college. I quickly got changed and walked to town, via the surgery on the estate to collect Joe's repeat prescription (I'll pop it into Tesco pharmacy when I do the weekly shop, it works better this way then using the electronic system). I don't usually shop on Tuesdays but I thought that if the footpaths are icy after today it won't be a good idea to walk far on them...because I'm a liability on ice and snow.

Crommers, was the reflux op called a Nissen something or other. That was what John had done in 2010 anyway and it worked really well, but he's careful with what he eats now. He especially struggles with swallowing bread and eats everything very slowly.

Kaz, that's sad news. Give B my love xx And yes, time certainly does fly - I need to pop into Birmingham in the next week for a present or two for Tom, he's 22 on the 9th

Saundra, have fun with the clear out!

Have a good day all, and stay warm!
