Interesting - it is still lightly snowing here! They did not forecast that ….. the BBC Weather Dept. needs to hang up a fresh bunch of bladderwrack or whatever.

All the local schools are now closed.

Nothing here yet. It was forecast for yesterday, starting early evening, but the forecast kept changing through the day and when I went to bed it was forecast for around 5am this morning but that didn't happen and the forecast is now showing a light snow shower around 11am.
I've got BBC WM on though and it's apparently snowing in Birmingham and the Dudley area at the moment.

We had about an inch or so; it started last night about 8pm and stopped about 1/2 hour later. But when I woke up at 1am it was snowing quite a bit and had settled. But we're not expecting any more and temperatures next week are going back to above 0 for both day and night.

Snow's completely disappeared from the forecast now and the sun's just started to shine.

Pepper and Fraggie had their waterproof "Hi Viz" jackets on for their walk (they match Mick's which is pretty hilarious :P  ) and they had a lovely time - until poor Pepper had to go into the utility room sink, to rinse off the icicles from the feathery fur on her legs   She wasn't too pleased ;)

We've had a fair bit during the night as well as first thing this morning, so much so that our coffee meet up (five of us from work) had to be postponed   It just wasn't worth it - it's about half an hours' drive to where we arranged to go, so when the estate roads were so bad it seemed we all had a change of heart :( Hoping to go next week instead but not everyone can make it - sigh.....

Shouldn't complain as we haven't had any up to now.....isn't it just typical???

Didn't stop me walking though.....I walked the four mile return from here down to the Mway services and back, halfway break for a latte and a bag of fries LOL, and of course a toilet stop!!!

No snow here, but we have had a heatwave instead. Nothing like packing up a tent in 31 degrees.
