Goodness Saundra, what on earth did you write

Had a scam call this morning. It was a recorded message supposedly from HMRC saying I was being investigated for tax fraud and to press 1 immediately or the police would arrive to arrest me!!! Obviously I laughed and cut the call, but it did make me wonder how an elderly vulnerable person would have reacted and how frightened they might be. Of course E's been laughing and for the next 30mins or so commented 'here they are' every time a car drove past. After all, as he pointed out, I'm only 'nearly normal' now :o

Hope you all have a good day :D

That scam has been doing the rounds Jen and as you say it's a worry how an elderly or vulnerable person would react.

Oh Kaz I do wish I had a man wot can! My main bathroom needs completely changing, but I am such a procrastinator, it's been sitting looking old and tored for years! I need too many things doing I think, new front and back doors, flooring in the hall (I need laminate rather than carpet and wanted to wait till AFTER the door has been changed) not to mention Jen's old bedroom needing redecorating......it's just too much to ponder. So I don't   Hope you got some nice tiles!!

Well I can hear again and all is well!! 8-) 8-) 8-) (see Wed thread)

From the surgery, I went to a fairly local farm shop/café to meet up with Jan my old workmate for a catch up and a coffee. We were there till 1.30!!   It was quite busy but we sat over a lovely fruit scone and delicious lattes....I do love my time off!! Quick squizz round the shops after saying our goodbyes and I also managed to exchange (with no receipt) some size 5 warm ankle boots I'd bought a week or two back for a 6, much more comfy!! Also got Tom a birthday card as he's got a special day next week ;) Should have had the plumber out to finish the job from last week but that got postponed till Monday so just having a quiet evening in tonight, about to start peeling the spuds!

Have a lovely evening all xxx
