Oooh our new neighbours!

Postby Osc » 09 Feb 2019, 16:32

We have new neighbours across the street and this morning, he rang our doorbell, said they were having a few people around and we were welcome to pop over. So I left a rugby-engrossed Edward here and went over. They look to be late 40s, teenage children, not a new car, always very casually dressed. Imagine my surprise when one of the first people I saw was Mary Robinson, our first female president, and her husband  There was a big crowd there, with a room set aside to watch the rugby, and I knew nobody except the couple themselves, Tessa and Robert, who obviously were busy with their other guests, although I did get chatting to one couple. I didn't stay too long and left just as food was being served.

Turns out that Tessa is Mary Robinson's daughter and Robert is a partner in a very well known criminal law firm of solicitors (thanks google ;) ).

Well generally it is a popular area, but you would imagine a couple with such credentials would have gone for one of the very expensive houses up the hill. However, they seem to be very down to earth and not full of themselves.

Wow Osc xx........... I bet you were very surprised on who you saw when you entered, I am sure most of us would under similar circumstanses.

Not hat I would in any way imply anything but.........I reckon you should keep on the best terms with the husband in particular, one never knows when you might be in need of a criminal lawyer, hehehe xx
