Was working Tuesday morning as normal and when I finished at 11 I went for a coffee and a bite to eat with a friend.
On the way back to work there was a commotion on one of the zebra crossings. Someone had been knocked down. It only turned out to be one of my work colleagues!!
Ambulance took her away. Concussion, badly bruised ribs and a fractured wrist.
Cue scrambling of brains to work out how to cover her classes. Cue me suddenly have a rake of extra hours to do.
Wednesday morning I was at said extra hours work when I got a call from boss lady. Another teacher's mum had fallen and broken her nose and her wrist!!
Operations were performed and understandably teacher wanted to be there for her mum. Cue even more scrambling of brains to cover her classes.
Then!! Yesterday. Boss lady's 15 year old beloved cat passed away.
Robbie (the cat) had been a present from her late husband and she is understandably extremely upset. To say life has been a whirlwind for 72 hours doesn't even cover it.
I've a flight to the UK 7.45 in the morning and I haven't even as much as looked out a bag yet.
And breathe.
(Both women are on the mend and boss lady is getting lots of hugs.)
