Morning all :)

Ally, the sun must be doing your dad the world of good :) xx

I'm going to get my hair cut, first thing. Becky might come with me, as it's her day off - if she gets up in time

Went to see Em last night, to drop her birthday presents round, for today 8-) I met her guinea pig, Basil. Mega cute and bosses her three cats around  It's windy here, but the rain has stopped for now :?

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

I think there's a lot of truth in that Kaz.

Morning all. We've had Eliza, the toddler of mass destruction for the last two days, busy busy. That child is never still!

Anyway, today MrsC is going to get some well deserved retail therapy and I'm going to do a bit of paperwork.

Not a bad day out there but the wind is a bit of a sneaky chilly one.

Have a good day all.

Morning all and a very happy Friday!!!!

Ally, agree with Kaz re the sunshine for your dad - must be so good for him (and your mom). Enjoy the lunch and of course your tapas this evening
Kaz, what a fab name for a guinea pig; love it :D ; enjoy the mooch in town and hope Becks wakes up in time; will be nice to have the company
Saundra hope the gas man turns up soon and all gets sorted
Crommers, love the toddler of mass destruction description. I met up with an ex colleague and his partner last night and they now regularly look after his 3 year old grand daughter every Tuesday; he was saying exactly what you said - she never keeps still :D But so lovely to have that grandparent / grandchild bond - I never had it with my grandparents and I am a bit envious sometimes of those that did / do. So enjoy every minute of being with her

Well it's Friday -Indian for lunch (yum!!!) and then a lovely quiet evening at home; can't wait. Monday and Tuesday were late because of train issues' and Wednesday and Thursday were late because of meeting up with friends... so I'm more than ready for a lovely quiet night in.

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning everyone

Wet :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Showers forecast for the next few days :Hi: :Hi: If by showers, they mean torrential downpours, then that's fine by me   The fields are lovely shades of green and our garden is looking good, with the flowers, standing out.

Glad your dad is much better Ally and your mum much relieved, I bet.

Not sure what we can/will be doing today.

I admire your stamina Crommers :D :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Another bright sunny day here 8-)

Up a bit earlier than usual. Need to pop into town to see if Boots have sorted our prescriptions. I'm almost out of my BP tablets, they said it should only take a couple of days, well they've had since Monday. Tbh not holding my breath, will be really cross if I have to drive up to the surgery to sort it myself.

Have a good day :D

Good morning all, it's quite bright and mild here now the rain's finally stopped!

I had to wait to walk Billy this morning as it was still raining when I got up. There are a couple of loads of washing on the line and I still need to go to the post office to post the parcel which the heavy rain stopped me doing yesterday. I'll wait until Tom gets up to do that though as I'm waiting for a signed for item to be delivered either today or tomorrow. I took a chance in taking Billy out so was glad not to see the Red Card of Doom through the letterbox when we got back.

Joe's in college until mid-afternoon and then he's working 5pm-10pm. Tom has a day off, no doubt he'll pop out somewhere. I expect he'll clean his car too.

John's cycled into work today and then he's off to the pub with some of the men off the close tonight. He doesn't really want to go but wouldn't say no. He's off to a concert next week with his friend too and he doesn't want to go, he doesn't know the band and doesn't really like concerts....yet he wouldn't say no to that either. His way of thinking is that people will think bad of him if he turns them down while my way of thinking is that life's too short to waste precious time doing things that won't make you happy.

Jen, I hope you get your prescription sorted easily. I stopped using Boots as their prescription service here was dreadful. The surgery is just around the corner so I now just pick the prescriptions up from the reception and take them into Tesco when I do the weekly shop.

Have a good day all!

So far this morning we've had clouds, a lot of rain :Hi: :Hi: hailstones  more rain and strong winds  Sunshine and now it's clouding over again. Not warm and I think we'll be lighting one of the fires soon.

We're out for a late lunch tomorrow, at Jan's, to celebrate Mitchell's 75th birthday yesterday, so I'm making the white and black beans salads as well as a potato dish. So I'll do the hot salads this afternoon, they only need a quick warm up. Saves me having to do all three tomorrow.

Still can't get a look at Molly's leg, but she's eating, sleeping and it doesn't appear to bother her, so will just wait and see. We have a new vet in Ourique, who sounds really good, so that saves a trip to either Castro Verde, Almondover or Beja.

Afternoon all, it is dull and dampish here, slightly warmer than yesterday though as the north easterly wind has died down. I’ve been to the gym and had my lunch afterwards in the cafe next door. Not planning on doing much for the rest of the day, there is quite a lot of ironing but that can wait. We might go dancing tonight.
