Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 11 Apr 2019, 05:21

Good morning.

Forecast 26 degrees and sunny. Yesterday when I went over to my folks they were both sitting on the balcony on their sun chairs just lapping up the sunshine.

Dad's doing ok (and thanks for asking) he still looks frail and a bit too thin but he is eating and getting out about...albeit slowly.

# bonkers day 2 and with the added bonus of going out for lunch with my colleague. We break up from work today so it's games and Easter crafting activities for the littlies.

Meeting Don when I finish at 9 for a beer or 3.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely sunny morning - but that wind   Makes it feel really cold outside :(

We have a helper this morning. Jan's middle son is coming up - school holidays are already taking it's toll   - he is going to do some strimming and some spraying of weeds. We'll take him home later and have a pit stop at the bar for a beer or three.

I'll be picking the broad beans and freezing them. Grumpy will be using his strimmer on the drive - it's getting so long and although it looks pretty, with all the wild flowers, it's got to go.

I'll also make a couple of pasties for dinner :D

Will need to anoint the bumps - my right knee took the brunt of the erm, trip over the fence

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it's sunny and frosty here.

Bill's had his walk and the washing will soon be going out to dry. Tom's working today, Joe has no work or college but thinks he might go out. I'm waiting for an Amazon parcel.

John's out tonight, he's off to see Sleaford Mods somewhere in Leamington Spa. He really doesn't want to go but did his usual trick of not turning down an invitation in case he upset the other person. He doesn't know anything about the band, doesn't like concerts and it's not as if his friend wouldn't have had anyone to go with if John had said no as there's someone else going with him. He's also going out for a curry with this friend on Saturday, he texted when we were in Prague to see if John wanted to go to this concert and John assumed that it was instead of Saturday but the reply came back "great, looking forward to it, and also going for a curry!"

Al, glad your Dad is doing better xx

Hope Mrs E is doing well!

Have a good day all!

Morning all :D

Dry but dull at the moment.

Glad to hear your dad is improving Ally, I'm sure the sunshine helps.
Ouch to all your bumps Jan, don't overdo it.

We're off out to the harbour with the boys later. It's a shame as we all loved the walk there, but it will have to be the bus. They can still have a good run when we get there though, there are plenty of benches for me to park myself on. Planning to have lunch at the Royal Pavilion, sounds posh, it's the biggest in the country, but still only a Wetherspoons lol Afterwards it will be a trip to Sorbetto for ice cream.

We have to be back here for 4pm as I have the first of four Ingeus sessions. Each one is 90mins so goodness knows what they will cover, just hope it's not as depressing as the DERIK morning.

Have a good day :D

The Amazon parcel has just come. I swear that 9 times out of 10 that we get something delivered by them we get asked to take something in for him next door. It’s not difficult to arrange Prime parcels for when you’re going to be home and there’s always a clear delivery date shown before ordering which can be easily changed to suit. She’s really lovely but he’ll do whatever he can to avoid speaking yet he’s happy for us to continually take in his parcels.

Good afternoon everybody.
There is lovely sunshine but a cooling breeze.

Yesterday I cleaned the waste traps on the sink and bathroom basin. The waste water was only flowing away very slowly. Lot of gunge in both of them. Flow is now back to normal.

Mrs.e is doing well. Did her first exercises this morning. They were given to her when we saw the physiotherapist on Tuesday. Went shopping this morning. Put the washer on while I was out. Have doner some ironing. Mrs.e says I do not iron the shirts like she does. But the are still good enough to wear.

She has walked round the garden using the zimmer frame. No pain anywhere. Will start using the walking stick when we have seen the physio next week.
Have cleaned the car and am now just pootling. Will look at my emails after this.

Have a good day everybody

Back from shopping now - it's beautifully sunny but deceptively chilly today.

Jo, I hope I won't get any more frost here, as I've lifted my spring bulbs and planted some pansies, some geraniums, and put in some new mint plants and rosemary to replace the old ones - they'd gone woody and overblown.

Enjoy having the boys Jen :) The Wetherspoons in Gloucester Quays has an overly posh name too - The Lord High Constable of England, if you ever did! :D  Good luck with your Ingeus session xx

Excellent news about Mrs E, Cruiser :) xx

Pilates tonight! It's not the same without Emma, my partner-in-crime, but she gets the air boot off in a few weeks so will soon be back!
