Good Morning Easter Monday

Postby JanB » 22 Apr 2019, 07:23

Morning everyone

Sunshine and clouds for us today, a lot warmer but rain over night :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Normal working day here and we'll be out in the garden after breakfast. Grumpy to do more rendering, well, chucking some stuff at a wall    and I'll be gardening - weeding

Might pop down the bar later, might just sit up here and have a couple of beers.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good news on the rain Jan. Yes Saundra I bet Brid will be heaving today, the good weather will bring people out.
It's a lovely morning here too. Not much on for us, I might need to go to the bank though. MrsC still has one Debenhams voucher left, we might need to make a visit before they go bust!
I found out yesterday that an old rugby/school acquaintance who is still working as a teacher at the age of 64 (silly sod) is in a hospital - in Canada.
His school organised a skiing trip and two teachers dropped out at the last moment. He didn't particularly want to go but stepped in to help supervise the holidaying pupils. Long story short, he's broken his femur in two places as has undergone an operation to plate the bone. Ouch. Get well soon Wardy.
And after that, have a great day everybody!

Good afternoon all!

We had a long walk with Billy first thing before it got too hot for him. I've since done two loads of washing, out has dried and been ironed and we've had our main meal as Tom's working from 4pm. Joe's gone to Amanda's. He's going to Dudley Zoo with her and her family tomorrow. John and Tom have just gone to the German War Cemetery on the Chase. I've stayed home, there are far too many snake sightings being reported this year; Tom and Shannon saw an adder on Saturday while they were walking.

Have a good day all!

Busy day here :D And warm earlier, but now clouded over for rain tonight :Hi: :Hi:

We did all the strimming, banks included and then had a couple of beers

Decided that the broad beans need to be picked, did that and pulled up all the stalks, which are now on the heap for burning. Shelled all the beans and they're in the freezer.

Had more beer

Wind got up, clouds came over, so we're inside and will eat early - I'm starving

Evening everyone!

Really enjoying the weather here today :) We had a lie-in, a trip to Sainsbury's for milk, bread and fruit - picked up a nice TU t-shirt for Mick in their 25% off sale - then home to sit out on our newly painted decking! 8-) I've also washed and ironed my new linen tablecloth - used it yesterday for our Easter meal - and changed our winter duvet for the summer one! It will probably snow now :cute:

Love to all :) xxx
