Good morning Sunday

Postby meriad » 12 May 2019, 06:56

Wow, not often I'm first :D

Good morning all; a beautiful sunny start to the day and I gather it's meant to be like this for most of the morning. Going to head to the allotment in a bit and get a few hours work done there whilst it's sunny. This afternoon / evening I'm visiting a friend who has a badly swollen knee and is struggling with getting around; so I'm picking up dinner and will cook for us at hers (or maybe see if she wants to go out given she's been confined to indoors for a good week now).

Not much else planned today

Have a lovely day everyone, vibes and hugs to those who could do with them xxx

So I have c&p’d my post in here and deleted the other one :D

*Not often I start the morning thread! It is a beautiful day here in Southampton. We were in bed early last night, so I am awake early this morning, quite apart from the fact that something large and noisy fell against the wall of the room next door about 7.15am  I woke very early on this day 47 years ago too - our wedding day :D It would never have crossed our minds that day that 47 years later, we would be heading off on a cruise! We had a nice meal and a good catch up with my cousin last night. I need to slightly reorganise the packing as I’ll put tonight’s clothes in our carryon bag just in case our suitcases don’t arrive in our cabins before we need to change for dinner. It has never happened yet but we go to dinner early, and there is always a first time. Might not get to post regularly during the week. Thinking of Ally and the sadness she is going through xx*

Morning everyone

Hot already  And going to be an August heat for a few days

Happy anniversary Osc and Mr Osc :Hi: :Hi:

Not doing a lot today, apart from the heat, I have a back that is telling me not to bend over and weed   although I might just lean a little ;)

Roast chicken for dinner - trust me, hottest day of the year and I'm doing a roast  so we'll eat about 4.00, before the sun gets on the back terrace.

That's kind of you Ria, maybe an outing would be better, as long as the patient can walk.

We were given another dozen eggs yesterday, so it's omelette for breakfast

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Well done Osc, I thought I'd have to look for me wand then! ;) :geek:  Happy anniversary to you and E, and Bon Voyage!. :Hi: :Hi:

Have fun on the allotment Ria, and I hope your friend's knee is better soon :) xx

Morning Cruiser, so glad Mrs E is doing well :)

Really jealous of your heat Jan, but take it easy!. 8-) xx

It's a beautiful sunny day here too, but there is still a bit of chill :? We're checking out a different garden centre today, well I think I've been there before, with my friend A, but it's new to Mick. We always seem to go to the same one, Trioscape out near Newent, so this will.be a nice change.

I need new hanging baskets, I planted mine too soon and they haven't made it  If I remember correctly, this one has a great outside seating area to their cafe, looking out over the lake 8-) :) Oh I just looked it up, and it does :D https://highfieldgardenworld.co.uk/highfieldrestaurant/

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Ria, what a kind thing to do. Happy anniversary and have a lovely time on the cruise Osc. Enjoy your garden Cruiser. Saundra and Jan, we have sunshine too! It's a beautiful morning but we wont see 30c. 22 would be perfect! Our neighbour planted bedding plants in April Kaz, it wasn't a good idea. I hope Ally is as well as she can be in the circumstances x
Not much on today. Our neighbour Steve is laying a patio in their back garden so it might be a bit noisy or dusty. We will probably go and see the little one later.
Have a good day all.
