Whoohoo, get in there!!!

Postby Workingman » 17 May 2019, 14:59

I have just saved nearly £500 on my car insurance.

Thank you uSwitch, Compare the Meerkat, MoneySavingExpert et al.... I didn't use any of you, I just did my own search.

I get fully comp, legal cover, windscreen, breakdown and towing to a local garage all for £42 less per month than the RAC.

It's true that I had to phone round a few and play one off against another, but Lloyds eventually caved in.

That's fab Frank. I need to get the va va voom to shop around this year as well. Because I still have my brother Frank as a named driver on my insurance I'm limited with who i can go with as he's on a German driving licence; but he hasn't been over for a while so I can probably take him off now which will give me loads more options. It's just such faff shopping around for this type of thing; I'm on the computer / phone for work all day - I don't want to be on it for hours and hours during my me time.

Ria, I do understand about the 'me' time, but it is not that hard. Pick a crap evening, we are getting plenty of those, and within an hour you will have a list of possibles. Any of your friends / family can get temp cover when they come over, they do not have to be a permanent fixture.

My ex is moving out to the sticks in E. Yorkshire and I will do it for Mike and Becky so that I do not become a 'dad taxi' when they are up here.

Give it a whirl, girl. :P :P :P
