Good Morning Saturday

Postby JanB » 18 May 2019, 06:42

Morning everyone

A few fluffy clouds around and only a light breeze, so will feel warmer today, at least 8-)

Must get that cleaning done today - we have a fine white dust everywhere  There's only the floor to be done this morning, so I'll let him do that before I clean. Although will probably need to do it all again in a day or so :cute: :cute:

Meeting friends down at the bar this afternoon and we have that curry for dinner. Looking forward to that. 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all :)

How are you feeling now Saundra?

We've had rain overnight and it was still quite drizzly when I woke so I read for a while and waited for it to stop before walking Billy. We did a 3 mile loop through the woods and John met us at the end.

I'll go to Tesco shortly for some fresh bread. I need something for dinner too, I think I'll get some pizzas from the deli counter seeing as John installed the new oven last night. Shannon's coming this afternoon but isn't staying as she's off on holiday with her parents in the morning. Joe will be going over to see Amanda when she finishes work later this afternoon and then they're going out for a meal tonight. We'll call in to see my parents at some point and no doubt there'll be another dog walk later. Oh, and if it stays dry I'll mow the lawns.

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Have fun later Jan :)

Jo your day sounds busy, hope the new oven works well :)

Yes, how are you feeling Saundra? xx

Cruiser, how is your wife now? :)

I woke at 4.30 and only dozed after that, then it was an early start for our SW meeting. Becky got her 3st award, with a couple of pounds to spare - I am SO proud of her :Hi: :Hi:

We're in Corretto's now, having brunch, then will go round to D's afterwards, one of our nephews is visiting so it will be good to catch up with him :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Afternoon all, the morning just flew by! We had a balcony cabin on the cruise and really liked it, so we decided to see if we could upgrade for our next cruise in July. That involved ringing the travel agent, having a chat and finding out how much it would cost, saying we would ring back, and talking over the options. We are happy with an obscured view one i.e. a view of a lifeboat, so in the end we opted for a Guaranteed cabin which means you will get a cabin in the category you selected at the very least, or even better - we won’t find out our cabin number until about a week before we go. Then Miss Osc phoned and we had a chat, she sounded very tired. We totally unpacked last night, and I have two washloads out on the line, lots of ironing ahead next week :? I went out to get a few bits, then had lunch, and shortly we will go for a stroll down the Harbour as the prawn festival is on this weekend and there are lots of stalls etc.

We had a lovely holiday, really relaxing. The weather was dry although not that warm, but we did use our balcony, not had one since our first cruise seven years ago. We called into Zeebrugge on Tuesday, got the ship complimentary bus to Blankenberg, having decided not to go to Bruges as we had been there before. We had a nice wander around. On Thursday we were in St Peter Port, Guernsey - we were last there 47 years ago but had absolutely no memory of it. Bought a few bits for Michael and Kellie in Sports Direct, then went for a walk, such a pretty place. Over the six days, we had some lovely food and plenty of dancing, looking forward to the next cruise already!

Kaz that's amazing for Becky - not surprised you're proud! Does she eat different things to you and Mick? She must be chuffed with herself 8-) :D

Been to work this morning....I'm not sleeping very well this past few weeks, so was awake at 4.30 and just dozed till the alarm went off at 7. Had a weird dream at this point yesterday so I must have gone back to sleep....but it wasn't a pleasant dream and took ages to shake off when I did get up. Work was busy in parts and thankfully was only till 12.30 - just chilling up to now this afternoon as it's rained non stop all day, only light drizzle but it's wet....it's brightening up a little now. Tom's going to the dog track tonight so I'll have a peaceful time in the house - have a lot of ironing to do and bits of tidying here and there, it'll keep me busy!

Have a great Saturday all xxx

That's good Saundra :) xx

Osc, the worst part of the holiday is the washing and ironing afterwards  I hope your upgrading works out 8-)

Gal, the beauty of SW is that it's just a healthy eating plan, with some portion control, so we are all eating roughly the same, apart from when B is on lates which is when the SW ready meals come into their own ;) Mick has lost weight too :ugeek:
