Good Morning Friday

Postby JoM » 24 May 2019, 06:29

Morning all, it’s another warm and sunny one.

I’m currently standing in a clearing in the woods while Bill has a sniff around. It’ll be squirrels although there seems to be a family of deer living up here now. In 7 years of walking Bill here we’ve never seen any and then one night a few weeks ago we came across a herd of 9 or 10 (we had our own Fenton moment!!), I thought it was a one off but I was speaking to a neighbour the other day and he said he’s seen them three times in the last few weeks.

No plans today apart from washing, ironing and cleaning.

Have a good day all xx

Morning Jo. Tell Bill to be a good dog with the deer! What a lovely thing to see.
We are having Eliza today, we had her yesterday too. It was supposed to be the other set of grandparents today but they've got food poisoning, so that's a no go.
A lovely morning here as well, blue skies and a light breeze.
Have a good day all whatever you are doing.

Morning Jo. Crommers and everyone

Blowing an absolute hooley here  Just done the watering, now that was a challenge in this wind    Had to abandon the hosepipe and get the watering cans out, so took almost an hour   Supposed to be hot and sunny - we'll see.

Washing on, although that may not be a good idea, might have to collect the dry sheets from Ourique

Going to make some favas for tomorrow night and have a general pootle. Making room in the freezers for the bacon and sausages. having sausage butties for breakfast :Hi: :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Jo, that's amazing, I would love that! I think Fraggle might well "do a Fenton" but Pepper would probably hide behind my legs

Crommers, I hope you have a lovely day with Eliza, and a restful day tomorrow, to recover ;) :)

I hope your washing stays on the line Jan!

It's beautiful here today, sunny with a light breeze :) I've got my cushion covers in the wash, and will be pegging them out before I go out. I'm popping into town to have five minutes on the sun bed (my psoriasis has flared up as I've been a bit under par this week) and then home to do some housework, and some weeding.

My sister and brother-in-law are coming tomorrow, we're out for a meal tomorrow night, and then Chris is coming for Sunday lunch - so a lovely weekend, but a busy one, is planned :D

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all and happy Friday!

Jo, that sounds amazing - what a lovely sight to see. Hopefully Billy does behave and doesn't pull a Fenton on you :D
Crommers, sounds like you're in for a busy day - enjoy

That made me laugh - I can see the sheets making their way to Ourique :D
Kaz have a lovely weekend with all your visitors

A beautiful sunny morning here; I left home a bit earlier to go past the allotment to do a quick water and it was just so peaceful - I could have easily just stayed there for a bit.
Lunch today is Wagamama - yum and then leaving early today because I can - yay!

Have a wonderful day everyone xx

Morning all, it is bright here but not sunny. Gym this morning, lunch in the cafe afterwards, and we’ll see what the afternoon brings. Might go dancing tonight, and at some stage we have to vote. Thinking about Ally and wondering how she is xxx

I'm jealous of the Wagamama lunch Ria!

I love seeing the deer, they're a usual sight up on the Chase but they do seem to be getting a bit more adventurous as they're often seen on and around the tip which is a worry as it's surrounded on three sides by very busy roads and even the M6 Toll (although that can't be described as busy by any stretch of the imagination!). There are a few places on the Chase itself where they're guaranteed to be spotted and you see photographers set up waiting. My Dad's cousin's house backs onto the Chase and he regularly has deer peeking over his garden fence

 Crommers, you're in for quite a day! How old is Eliza now? :D

Kaz, I hope it eases soon for you xx Your weekend sounds lovely!

Jo, she is one year and one month. She is a proper little girl now and is just starting to toddle.
I'm hoping Ally is OK as well Osc.

Been rather a lazy day here. The wind was biting  and it's hardly stopped blowing a hooley all day ,so that meant working outside was out.

By the time we got over our rather large breakfast, washed up, it was almost midday

I started getting everything ready for the favas, then realised that I hadn't taken out some of the meats needed, so cancelled that.

We spent a couple of hours reading this afternoon and then had a couple of beers on the back terrace, still talking about what we can do   or not do

Will start a little earlier tomorrow, without sausages butties
