Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 30 May 2019, 06:28

Morning everyone

And a gorgeous morning it is too :Hi: :Hi: Fresh, no wind and will be another rather warm day 8-)

Grumpy out rendering, I actually had a lie-in  The alarm went off at 6.30, he got up, I went back to sleep  The dog was a lot quieter last night, we kept some of the windows closed, so that helped.

I'll do the housework this morning, that I've been promising to do for about a week  :P and then we'll be doing not a lot.

Salad again for dinner, with various stuff to liven it up

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing.

Morning all :D

We finally got home just after 6am, cases are unpacked and the washing's started. We're showered and now sitting down with big bowls of porridge. Absolutely cream crackered, no point going to bed though, will just keep going until we drop. We had a lovely last day, the temperature was over 89f, scorching. Looks like we've brought some of it back with us, quite nice here at the moment.

Have a good day :D

I'm glad you had a nice break Jen. kaz, I like Sainsburys cafe too. Jan Hopefully you can send some of that heat our way.

Not much on today. I'm cooking a bolognese for tonight, MrsC is baby wrangling this afternoon. May power wash the patio later.
Have a good day all!

Morning all, it is not a nice day - dull, humid yet chilly, and windy. Kellie arrived at 7.30 still in her jammies and slippers, then Miss Osc, SIL and Michael headed off to the airport. 23 u/10s plus parents (mostly dads) from the local soccer club are heading to the South of France to train with and play against the u/10s in Richard Dunne’s football academy in Monaco so Kellie is staying with us until they return on Tuesday. Very exciting for them :D I got Kellie ready for school and brought her up for 9am, then back to finish my breakfast. We’ll collect her at 12 and have promised to bring her to the cafe beside the gym for hot chocolate.

We also have a plumber coming this afternoon - he popped in earlier to have a look at the leak we have downstairs which appears to be related to an expansion tank for the heating (I think, but what do I know :? ) and said he would be back in the afternoon. I’ll get on with tidying around the place before a certain little lady untidies it again ;)

Morning all

What a glorious morning here - so different to yesterday when it was really nippy still. And the weekend is meant to be amazing as well - yay!!!

Jan, hopefully the neighbours have taken on-board the issues with the dog; what I don't get is don't they hear it themselves?
Jen, welcome back and thanks for bringing the sunshine hope - much appreciated :D
Kaz, have a lovely day with D
Crommers, hope you have a lovely day doing the bits and bobs you're doing - sounds like a day for yourself which is nice.
Osc, good luck with the plumber, hope he gets it sorted for you

Well, another usual / usual for me; may end up having a few drinks after work but not sure yet - we have people over from our US head office so depends on them.

Have a lovely day all xx

Good afternoon all, I'm late checking in today and I'm up to my neck in paperwork.

We've got a drawer that all paperwork is kept in and I try my best to keep it organised and in order but you can bet that every now and again someone will go in and have a rummage for something and mess it all up so I've bought a file and some plastic wallet inserts and I've sorted it all out.
The stuff we've kept though, every month I've put John's wage slip in there...I've found some dating back to 2008

Good evening everybody,

The sun is shining but lots of grey clouds in the East.

Did some packing this morning, mainly small things which go i our trolley and underwear and shoes whic go in one of the big cases-- we take three.

This afternoon the plumber came to fit new parts in the toilet cistern. It had stopped working properly. The original fittings are over 30 years old. It now
flushes with a lot of force.

Willl be out shopping toorrow morning while mrs.e is packing. Will then have to carry the cases down.

Jo   When we moved, I chucked out all the lecky bills for the last 12 years and also all the receipts we had to keep from the Centro de Saude.

Been a rather eram and blowy day, but having the pool is heaven, I spent over an hour, just swimming up and own, very slowly, with a stop every now and then for a

read   Grumpy had a kip ;)

Ria, we've spoken to Gez about this before - their attitude to the dogs barking, She's known them for 4 years, has 3 dogs herself, and does not understand how they let them bark at absolutely everything, without telling them off.

But it's been rather quiet for the last couple of days. I can cope with the odd darking bog during the day ;)

Somewhat late in the day, I know!

Went down town to the local barber's shop this morning where they have a recently-joined assistant offering "walk-ins" - usually on a Thursday you have to book to get the main man.

He was very good, and took exquisite care - but at one point, having asked for a Number 2 on the sides, I genuinely thought he was trying to give me a Kim Jong Un - nothing on the sides and everything piled on top. If I had had a black Mao jacket to go with it, I could have start firing missiles and insulting Donald Trump!
