In my slightly piddled state last night, I melted a plastic spatula on the hob I've managed to get some of it off, by picking at it - but there is a large blob still stuck.
A very sharp knife with a thin blade if possible and with the blade almost flat on the hob literally cut it off.
I did similar recently by knocking the plastic strainer onto the hot hob by the time I could empty my hands to get it off it had melted on.
I did as I advised you with one of my butchering filleting knives and got it all off .....OR ......if you have one a paint scraper that you use to remove excess paint of the glass of the window when you have slipped with the brush when decorating
