Good morning Sunday

Postby meriad » 23 Jun 2019, 06:12

Good morning all, it's promising to be another lovely day. The birthday lunch yesterday was good; made even better by the fact that there was a market in Guildford and I managed to get 6 herb plants for £10 - happy me. Up early again, wide awake at 4am - and then dozed on and off. Need to be at the rubbish dump by 8.40 - it opens at 9am but hopefully the queue won't be too long if I go 20 or so minutes earlier, I'll just take a coffee and 'chat' to friends on Facebook and WhatsApp. Had a bit of a disaster yesterday in that I realised by deep freeze had packed up. It's in an outside store area so I don't see it every day and yesterday when I walked in it's a bit whiffy in there and then I saw a red light flashing. Not sure when it happened but everything has defrosted and now needs to be chucked. The door was properly closed so not sure what went wrong; I tried switching it off and on again - the red light stopped and it was only green (as it should be) but it just didn't go below 19 degrees. So guess who will be needing to buy a new one - sigh :(

Message received from Jan yesterday as well - she was hoping to collect her laptop yesterday but apparently it'll only be ready next week now. Rather frustrating for her :(

Well, I'll be off now to clean a rather smelly deep freezer and then crack on with the day.

have a lovely one all xxxxx

Morning all :)

Ria, that sounds like a lovely day, apart from the freezer business! Grrr, what a nuisance :( Jan must be a bit fed up about her laptop  Although since I got my kindle I must admit I hardly use mine.

It's gone grey here, after the most beautiful sunny day yesterday, but at least it feels warm still. Usual Sunday here - out for a cuppa and the papers, then home to catch up with stuff on the player :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Grey and warm here too kaz. Ria, good work with the herb plants.
Daughter, Eliza and the hound of the Baskervilles are here again. He's not actually a hound, he's a cockapoo. Tbh he looks like a ginger spaniel with a funny tail! But he has a good nature; he loves everybody.
I need to do some sweeping up today and we are having a family Sunday dinner. :)
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it is rather dull here with lots of rain forecast for later. Just the day to do the ironing :? and I’ll also carry on knitting a little baby cardi, one of my gym friends has her first grandchild due soon. She is a very nice lady who was widowed very young, when her son was 4 or 5, and she never remarried. She is very quiet and keeps herself to herself, but always lovely to talk to and I thought it would be nice to make a little something for the baby because becoming a grandmother is so special.

Afternoon all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

How annoying about your freezer Ria, we have an old one out in the garage which doesn't get checked that often. Hope you haven't lost too much.

Not a lot happening here. The stroll at the harbour yesterday was lovely but has left us both a little sore so it's just general pootling today. Roast pork for dinner later, followed by chocolate blancmange and orange jelly for pud.

Have a good day :D
