Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 03 Jul 2019, 05:14

Good morning.

Hot and sunny. 8-) 8-)

A walk and swim. :D

Yippeeeeee. Tonight's the Rod Stewart concert! :D

He's on at the castle in Fuengirola and it starts at 10pm so we're making a day of it. Getting the bus and train and will walk along the coast, have lunch, more walking, a beer or two then wander up to the venue. Having liked Rod the Mod since about 1974 I'm so excited to be seeing him. :P :P

We'll just get a taxi home as the trains will have stopped by the time the concert finishes. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Dull and grey start again, but the blue is peeping out and will another pleasant, although not too hot, day 8-)

Enjoy Ally :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

We're off to Castro Verde for breakfast and also to see if the market is on. Opinion is divided, as there was a festa there last week-end and no-one is sure if it's on or not.

Back to laze around the pool and we're off out for dinner tonight. Mitchell is joining us, rare sighting, Mitchell out at night, but he likes Ria and Nadine, so is making an appearance

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,

A lovely blue sky and no wind.Put plenty of sun cream on. Shopping this morning. Then will be in the garden this afternoon. Have to trim the edge of the lawn. The grass seems to grow better near the edge than in the middle. The mower doesn't seem to cut it.

Have a good day everybody.

It's beautifully sunny here today! Just waiting for the washer to finish, so I can hang it out first, then I'm going to meet a friend in town for a cuppa :D Seeing D later, not sure about hospital visiting today, I think D wants to go tonight, rather than this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Lovely bright and sunny here 8-)

Enjoy the concert Ally.

Have fun with your visitors Jan.

The hydro session went very well, I could definitely feel the muscle pulling, but it's so much easier under water. I was warned I could be in extra pain this morning, but surprise, surprise I feel better than I have for ages. Managed all my exercises, haven't been able to do that for a few weeks. Of course it could be a coincidence, will have to wait and see. Another session next Tuesday, I'll do 4 in total and then apparently I can continue if I pay £6 for a 30min session, definitely worth considering.

Off to see the diabetic nurse at 11.30, it seems our surgery has a tendency to push for longer gaps between blood tests, I'm hoping she will agree to testing every 3 months. It makes sense as I'm trying to manage my condition with diet only so really need to stay on top of it, especially given I already have retinopathy. Tbh I'd be prepared to pay for tests if it comes down to money.

Afterwards we're planning to pop into town, don't need a lot, just a couple of bits from Boots, but it will be good to have a little walk.

Have a good day :D

Morning all, it is a beautiful day 8-) We seem to be up a bit earlier today. I’ve been busy ticking a few things off my list, mainly phoning the hotel in Cork where we are going for my birthday in September. I had to change one of the rooms from a double to a twin, and also I booked the restaurant for the actual night of the birthday. I wanted to book golf as well, but there was no answer from their phone, so I will have to ring again later. I’ll tidy around now and go to the gym later. Supermarket shop this afternoon.

Good evening all! It's been a busy day, I've finally sat down.

We're scratching our heads a bit here. We were all convinced that Tom was flying home tomorrow, staying in London at the LSE again and then getting the train back on Friday; Joe was picking him up from the station at 2pm, we know it was Friday because Joe said that he'd have to forgo his pre-work Friday afternoon nap
Anyway he posted some pics on Instagram last night saying it was his last full day in Fez so I was straight on Messenger  and he said his flight was at 4.50pm today and he'll be home tomorrow afternoon. Anyway, he's got me some spices :D

Ally, have a wonderful time! His show in Wolverhampton a few weeks ago got really excellent reviews :D
