We'd been at the bar for a couple of beers and were just about to leave, he turned up and put a bottle down in front of us  then the guys who are cutting the cork oaks turned up, more bottles on the table, then Sergio (who looks after the car) turned up, more bottles  and then Heldar (builder) more beer bottles

Pizza for dinner

On Friday me and MrsC went for a pub lunch, very nice too. Half way through the steak pie and chips a woman comes into the fairly empty pub, plonks herself down at the bar with her back to us and starts chatting to the barmaid.
I missed most of this but MrsC, being interested in the human condition, didn't. The lady was complaining about her husband, saying that he went off playing golf every day, he'd taken himself off to the coast for a week on his own, they were living separate lives and so on. She was saying she'd had enough and that she wanted to leave him. Apparently he won't move out of the house. She then starts looking at houses for sale on line and saying doesn't this bathroom look funny?
The barmaid says don't forget you are due half of everything and |I'll come with you to look at houses if you want.
Thing is (besides the fact that I've known her husband since I was 10) - would you go to the pub and talk about your marriage problems so openly? If you were upset enough I suppose.
Anyway, Neil is how he is. He just does what he likes, his first wife left him for the same reason. He was always out every night on his own playing pool, darts, whatever. He can't seem to understand why it might be a problem.

Blimey, I'd have left him too

And no, <I wouldn't be talking about it in the "open" like that.

Nope, I wouldn't go talking about it for all to hear.

He's not going to change now is he, if his first marriage broke up because of it and he's been like it all through this marriage.

I wouldn't have married him.... If I was a woman you understand.

As for the chat. I guess it depends on how well the woman and barmaid know each other. From the offer to go look at the new house I guess it's quite well, and it could also be that the scorned women no longer gives a stuff who knows what hubby is like. She would not be the first....
