Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JoM » 31 Jul 2019, 06:57

Good morning all, it seems to have stopped raining for a few minutes.

No plans today apart from housework and the Tesco delivery coming this afternoon.

Have a good day all!

Morning Jo, Saundra and everyone

Lovely sunny morning, and if you keep out of that wind it's hot  Bluddy cold otherwise

Late start, as I overslept :Hi: Cannot tell you the difference the dogs being moved has made :Hi:

Off to Ourique later, need food, wine, water, beer. Pit stop at the bar for a coffee on the way back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing. And keep dry over there ;)

Morning all. Some epic rain here yesterday but nothing like North Yorkshire, where they had two inches of rain in one hour and have had flash floods, hail stones the size of pickled onions and some bridges and roads washed away.
It was a good day otherwise. I was recommended a mobile air conditioning engineer who came out and fixed the cars a/c for £70, which is a real result. He said that the quality of the materials used in cars (especially the aliminium) is rubbish compared to ten or twenty years since. This contributes to a/c failure as many condensers and compressors are made out of it.
In a while I'm off to get some shirts and we're having Eliza this afternoon.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, I seem to be back to normal at last. It is cloudy and cool although we avoided the heavy rain yesterday evening that caused flooding in other parts of Dublin - sometimes I think we have our own little micro climate here in Howth. Still working my way through all the laundry but seem to have broken the back of it (just the ironing to do  )

I am off to the gym this morning and then I want to take out some money, get my fringe trimmed and post off something I sold on eBay. The calendar has lots on it for the next few weeks so life never seems to slow down at the moment. Yesterday we were at a solicitor drawing up Powers of Attorney - Miss Osc couldn’t do it as she will be the Attorney so one of her friends is dealing with it. We have to get forms signed by our doctor who charges €75 each so she can certify each of us mentally competent  but it is what it is and has to be done.

Good morning everybody.

We have had some rain during the night. Still clouds about but the sun is trying to come out.
Have been to give a blood sample. Went by bus and had to pay as it was before 9.30 a.m. When I got to the health center, I was amazed to find there
were only four people waitng. As soon as I sat down the next number was called. So I was out going shopping in less than ten minutes. Last time I went I had to wait nearly an hour. The waiting room was full all the time.

Going out this afternoon to get birthday cards and one for a wedding. The weding is at the end of August in Derby. Wew ill be staying overnight.
Have a good day everybody.

Warmed up nicely now 8-)

The supermarket was rammed  mostly tourists, so they were wandering around looking where things where and causing jams in the aisles :cute: As I dislike supermarket shopping at the best of times :cute: couldn't wait to get out.

Ordered some stuff from the chemist, it'll be there tomorrow :D

Quick coffee at the bar, I'm now heading for the pool 8-)

Skyping with Paul later, to see if he wants to come out ;)

Morning all :D

One minute sunny, the next overcast, the weather doesn't seem able to make up it's mind today :?

The Blue Wave hydro centre is lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we were taken on a little tour to see the pool and gym, all looked good. The changing facilities were spotlessly clean and well organised too. I was given a copy of the weekly schedule and although there are times when the pool's hired out, there are plenty of daily slots I could use. It does change slightly from week to week, but the times I would prefer are pretty much fixed all year round. Now just got to get Amy (physio) to do the referral when I see her on Friday.

Providing it doesn't suddenly pour down, the plan is to get the bus into town. Don't need a lot, but it would be nice to have a gentle stroll by the harbour.

Have a good day :D

Hi everyone :)

Busy day so far, out to Sainsbury's before 10 with D. She's putting on a spread for family after the funeral tomorrow, so we bought bits for that. Then we dropped my shopping home for Mick to put away and went straight back to D's to start some prep. I chopped veggies, cooked rice and made a rice salad, prepped the veggies for a pasta salad, and made a couple of dressings.

I walked home after that, and started on a raspberry and sherry trifle - couldn't make it at D's as my cut glass bowl was here! Mick's just taken the car to be valeted, and I'm just having a breather before running an iron over a white shirt for Mick and my outfit. Phew ;)

Love to all xxx
