Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 14 Aug 2019, 05:33

Good morning.

Cooling down to 41 degrees today. Big deal!

Brain like mush....forgot to pop in here yesterday.

Run shortly, a swim then coffee. :D :D

Popping into town for a few bits as it's a national holiday tomorrow being Assumption Day and Malaga feria begins until the 25th August which basically means the whole of Andalucia goes crazy. Totally. And in this heat. The Spanish are mad.

Jacob came over yesterday and stopped over, Conor is coming over this afternoon and staying till Saturday as is Jacob. :D :D

We're all going to Gambrinus for a beer and a bite to eat tonight. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

I know I posted earlier, but it's gorn :?

Chilly start, but warming up nicely later. Got rather warm yesterday, so hoping for the same today.

Off to Ourique, for our normal run around. Will see if we can get some petrol too. There are only 2 petrol stations in Ourique  and one in the next village, so hopefully, one of them will have some.

Back for a swim and then move into pots the plants that are being eaten. We'll keep them near the house, as whatever it is eating them doesn't seem to like being too close to he house.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. Cooling down to 41c?
Good luck getting the plant nibblers Jan.#It's grey and rainy here atm. Not much on as we have been rescheduled from toddler duties.
Will most probably be making lists and packing for Friday. We're off to Whitby for a week, along with children and partners, two dogs and a toddler. Wish us luck!
Have a nice day everyone.

E always says I must be keeping them in business Kaz

Just had a phone call from Zachery, he's 15 today, I keep telling him there should be a rule against it  He's really excited, Z redid his room and his main pressie is a gaming pc, it's all about Fortnite these days. We're visiting on Saturday :D

We managed to get out and do the garden yesterday, it definitely looks a lot neater today.

Therapy session at Blue Wave lunchtime.

Have a good day :D

Afternoon all, it is strange here weather wise - wet earlier on, but dry now and humid and it still looks as if it could rain any minute. I was busy this morning, I drove over a dislodged kerbstone yesterday and got a puncture in two tyres  It was late afternoon so there was no point trying to sort it then. I rang the tyre people this morning who suggested I contact the insurance company as I would probably be entitled to a tow truck as part of my policy. This proved to be the case and the tow truck arrived within 30 minutes of my phone call! Off to the tyre place, they did the job very quickly and I was home before 11am (although €160 poorer). So I went to the gym and had a cuppa with the ladies afterwards. This afternoon we both have our two year checkup with the optician and we will do a supermarket shop afterwards.

My trip to Cork was ok, although we did not go to Cape Clear because I was sick the night before - we had a nice meal that evening and I chose a cod dish which was described as “pan fried cod with mussels and a white wine and garlic sauce”. I asked for it without the mussels as I am allergic to them. When it arrived, the cod was definitely not pan fried and I suspect it had been cooked in the same liquid as the mussels, so while I did not get a full blown reaction, I felt very ill indeed during the night. Instead I stayed in bed in the b&b until as near to check out time as possible and then we headed back to Cork, visiting my niece on the way to meet my new grand niece. I was feeling a bit better all the time. My brother cooked me a simple dinner and I went to bed quite early so I caught up on some sleep. It was while I was driving home from the railway station, just around the corner from our house, that I had the event with the car.

Thankfully the rest of the week looks quieter!!

Here I am again, home now

Ally, that is pretty loco in those temperatures   Enjoy it all though 8-) :D

Jan, I hope moving your plants confounds whatever is eating them

Jen, I reckon we must be keeping them going between us then :Hi:  Happy birthday to Zachary!! :D xx

Crommers, have a great time, I always liked Whitby when I lived in Yorkshire :D Fingers crossed for the weather XX

Saundra, weight drops off on SW if you stick to the rules, and you never get hungry! Good luck to them both 8-) :) xx

Oh Osc, what rotten luck :( It does sound as though your meal wasn't prepared carefully! Very wrong of them, as that is so dangerous - speaking as someone with several food allergies I must admit to avoiding Indian and Chinese restaurants in particular for fear of nut or seafood contamination, and am very careful about my choices eating out full stop, but you were careful, and they deserve a telling off IMO  Glad you're ok now (((((x))))
