..... but not thick.

Jo, it rained from late morning and got down to 14 ºC (feels like 11 ºC) and the room thermo said 16.5 ºC. It was on manual, but if it had been on auto (Autumn / Winter) it would have fired up.

According to the local weather site he should be OK, heat wise, but he will need a poncho for Sat and Sun.

Can't have everything - it's a B.H. you know.

If he's coming up by rain from Brum and then out to Bramham there's travel info here: https://www.leedsfestival.com/informati ... ory/travel

The shuttles are well signposted, but he won't need to worry, just follow the queues. And the times are a bit fictional - when a bus is full, off it goes and another takes its place. It's about ten miles and takes 40 mins on a good day. ;)

He's driving up Frank, and they're obviously not hardcore because they've booked a B&B for Friday and Saturday nights. He's got to drive because he's got work on Monday morning so needs to leave straight afterwards.

Good call on the poncho, he's given me his kagoul to wash this afternoon  I'll give him the information about the shuttle though, thanks!

*Edit* They're staying in Wighill.

OK, Jo. For the fest he should head from Wighill towards Wetherby past Thorpe Arch Ind Est then at Walton turn left towards Boston Spa - he'll go past Wealstun Prison and Leeds United training ground almost straight away. As he comes over the single lane bridge into Boston he'll hit a T junction (A659). Turn right, Wetherby again, till he comes to a massive roundabout at J45 on the A1(M). He should not turn on to the A1(M) - The SOUTH and Leeds, but go under the A1(M) keeping to the left lane for Collingham and Otley. This will take him to a small roundabout at Wattle Syke and the first exit is to Bramham and Thorner. The festival should be signposted.

Should he accidentally get on the A1(M) SOUTH he should not panic. He will go past Bramhan (no junction) and down to J44 A64 Leeds and York. As he comes down the slip on to the roundabout the Bramham turn is immediately, and I mean a few metres, on his left.

To go the official route, as per the site i.e. J46 A1(M) is a pig from Wighill and he will end up following festival signs at J45 or J44 anyway.

Get him on Google maps and let him have a 'drive' around.

And another thought.

When coming up he should give Leeds a swerve and get on the M1 just after the M62 and before the M621 and go straight for the A1(M). He should then head NORTH and get off at J44 towards York and Tadcaster and then off at Taddy. As he comes into Taddy centre there is a brewery, John Smith's, on his right. He should turn right through town and over the bridge - the one that fell down in the floods a few years ago. Go through the first junction, Coach and Horses, then turn left at the next crossroads onto Wighill Lane and just follow his nose.
