No politics on this Café thread, please, or Ossie will ruffle his feathers at you, and you certainly don't want to be having that!
Is anyone else thinking about doing a bit of stockpiling before October, then? Or are you all just ignoring all the warnings and hope they'll go away
Ossie is traditionally a great hoarder of food Mrs O's response is definitely
Back in Birmingham days, I always used to stockpile cans and dry goods when Asda had them on special offer (although even I had to admit it did get a bit ridiculous once we hit 60 cans of plum tomatoes in the garage). But we did get through them all. Eventually.
Anyway, I have started hedging my bets over Brexit and accumulating things like canned soups, beans, chickpeas, tomatoes, and lentils, pasta and long-life milk. They're all dated well into 2020, so shouldn't be a problem as far as usage is concerned, whatever happens.
I think we'll probably retain availability - but I bet the supermarkets will all be put their prices up come October .....
