Morning Ally, morning everyone

Love the cooler mornings, although it is going to be another hot day. We have another week of heat, then cooling down. But then, I thought that was happening this week too  One day, the weather forecaster will get it right ;)

The hunters are out and about and we're just about to do the watering.

Back for a quick breakfast, then attack the cleaning, then the prep for dinner. Mitchell is coming round for a late lunch, which will be on the hot plates. Steak, mushrooms, berrichone potatoes and cauli and broccoli in a cheese sauce, which will be kept hot under the plates.

Will fit in a swim and shower in beforehand and may have another swim once he's gone.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it's sunny and quite cool here.

Saundra, Autumn is my favourite season too :D

I've walked Bill, John's gone out for a bike ride and Joe's just gone to take Amanda home and then he's off to work. Tom's already up, I think he's enjoying not working until the early hours. Shannon's away visiting family this week so he's hanging around at home and enjoying his last few days of doing nothing in particular.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all and happy Sunday. My last day of holiday - back to work tomorrow :( I could get quite used to this not working lifestyle :D Not helped that it's the last of the train stike days tomorrow which means less trains that are a lot slower than normal - so annoying.

Off to B&Q in a bit to get some ready made palisade fence panels to keep the chickens in. I've been using plastic security fencing for now but it really doesn't look very pretty so I want to try this out instead. Hope to get a few more hours at the allotment as well - managed to clear a bit of grass area on Friday which was very rewarding so now need to go back and over the cleared area so it doesn't fill up with weeds again - Il'l put lots of cardboard down for now - that helped last time round; oh and dig up a few more potatoes. I got a bucketful on Friday which I left with Karl and Nadine so will now get some for myself for dinner this evenign. Managed to get the lawn mowed yesterday and it just makes everything look so much neater.

General pootling lazy day otherwise I think....

Say hi to Mitch Jan - enjoy the lunch; it does sound delicious
Saundra enjoy the visitors
Ally enjoy the pool
Jo, enjoy your day

Have a lovely day all xxxx

Morning all. I hope the chickens like their new fence Ria!
Not much on here. I'll trim the clematis and salix in a bit. Big family dinner about 4.30.
It's warm here but a bit cloudy.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :)

Enjoy your sunny days, Ally and Jan :)

Saundra, my Becky loves Autumn too! I prefer Spring and Summer 8-) Have a lovely day with your family xx

Jo, it's sunny and cool here too. I hope Tom enjoys his last few days before school is back - it's funny to think that when I first knew you he was a schoolboy, and now he's going back as a teacher :D :Hi:

Crommers, that reminds me, my clematis needs cutting back too! Must get into it 8-)

Ria, I hope you won't have too much trouble with the trains :? I enjoy hearing about your allotment, we had some lovely stuff from J's Lottie, as he calls it, down in Weymouth! :) Have the chickens got names? :D

Just having a quiet cuppa in Corretto's, I've been reading the paper and mooching online, as Mick has a riveting ( :P ) book he's reading about the English Civil War  I don't mind, we often read while we're in here, it's a bit of a home from home ;)

Enjoy your Sunday everyone :) xxx

Morning all, we didn’t get up until about 9.30 which is late for us, and we have still to have our showers. It is a nice sunny day but cooler. I am going to a funeral this afternoon, someone who worked for my father in the family law firm. The day started off well (not) with Edward knocking over an entire pot of coffee  It went everywhere, into the kitchen drawers, under the hob, and I know I’ll be finding coffee grounds for days. Surely the day will get better

Afternoon all :D

Another hot day 8-)

We're having our first proper easy day since last Monday (shopping yesterday was just as busy as we'd thought). I'm not doing too bad after our hydro session on Friday, but poor E is particularly sore at the moment. Poached salmon with salad and new pots for dinner, vanilla blancmange and orange jelly for pud.

Have a good day :D

Afternoon all!!

It's bright and sunny if a little breezy today, as was yesterday. We wanted to visit Jen as she has been getting a new kitten - calling him Jack - but she was working till lunchtime.....Tom suggested going to the MetroCentre which is only one junction further on than where J lives.....we've not been for at LEAST a year and a half (to the Metro, not Jen's!) so we could have a look round and go for a coffee etc. This, we did, but it's such a massive place, my sense of direction flies out the window as soon as I step inside, and today was no exception! I bought some pretty undies in Primark, and Tom bought a Levi T shirt - we know how to live!!!

And then - on to meet Jack!! Of COURSE I fell in love immediately! He's SO TINY!!!!! He's 9 weeks old....white and tabby in colour, so cute! They have a menagerie now as they have Ruby, the mini dachshund, and another black cat, Freddie.

Home again now and I think we are having a Chinese takeout tonight.

Kaz I love Spring and Summer too - Autumn means darker nights and mornings, and cold. Urgh. Having said that, today I have worn a sleeveless top and sandals, LOL. Well it's only JUST autumn.

Lily, our granddaughter was finally 5 yesterday!! :Hi: She's the very youngest in her class, and most of her friends have been 5 for ages, and all she wanted to do was pretend to be 5....but now she is 8-) :D Can't remember how to post photos on here, but just know she is a gorgeous happy little girly girl and we adore her :D :D

Enjoy the rest of Sunday all xxx
