Afternoon all, it’s a beautiful day here and warm too. I had a lovely time last night and was home by 10.45. This morning we went for a stroll around the harbor, it is extremely busy. We bumped into Miss Osc and family and had a chat. Now I am walking over to my Boston friend’s apartment to meet up with some of the others, so that will be lots more chat - I guess we didn’t cover it all last night :lol:

Afternoon all :D

Bright and sunny, but a tad chilly.

Glad you had a good sleep Jan, always nice to have a lie in.

The official NHS policy hasn't changed Crommers. BMI shouldn't exceed 35 for hip replacement and affected patients are advised to lose 10% of their weight before surgery. However people with severe pain or other problems do still qualify. The problem is quite a few trusts apply their own rules so it does differ from area to area, a cost cutting exercise!! Your GP should still refer you to get on the list particularly if you can show you are working to manage your weight loss. Hope the following helps.........
How your weight or BMI could affect your operation
If you are overweight, with a BMI or body mass index over 35, your CCG requires you to demonstrate
that you have a weight management plan in place before they will fund your hip or knee surgery.
Reducing weight could improve your pain by decreasing pressure on your joints; lower the risks of surgery;
and have a positive impact on your results. So, depending on your circumstances, your GP may need to
provide evidence you are taking steps to reduce your weight. This could include evidence that you are
currently on a weight loss programme (such as Weight Watchers or Slimming World, for example) or they
may wish to refer you for weight loss management support.

We've been really lazy again today, only just had brekkie :lol: Not a lot happening, will be cooking roast pork and veggies later, followed by raspberry blancmange and jelly for pud, my favourite 8-)

Have a good day :D

Evening all!

Busy day yesterday....work in the morning, then popped to the garden centre after to buy a couple of trailing ivy for the little fence pots I bought (planted them up today). Last night we had an evening out to see a tribute Whitney Houston, work girls, meant to be 9 of us, but 4 cancelled so only 5 there - those of us who DID show up had seconds!! :lol: :lol: :lol: (there was also a two course meal on the ticket). Lots of dancing afterwards and home before 11.30 - fab!!

Gorgeous sunny day today - Tom and I went on one of our favourite walks, along the riverbanks in Durham and then up to Palace Green outside the cathedral for a latte and some cake 8-) :D Back to the car the other way - I have done over 15000 steps :D

Crommers that's very poor :evil:

Enjoy what's left of Sunday! xxx
