The bizarre excuse given by next door as to why the dogs bark all night.

Our lights :? :?

Yes, apparently, our lights, which are switched off when we go to bed, keep the dogs barking all night

I'll tell you - go to any football ground this time of the year and observe the waste bins dotted around the main stand, and they'll be there …. Pains in the posterior!

But seriously, you're right, there does seem to be fewer around generally this year. And the reported explosion of butterflies never happened down here either.

Off you go to the restaurant, thinking, wonder what we'll have.

The owner, who is Spanish, says we have chicken, secretos or pressas. You, he said to me, have chicken, You, he said to Grumpy, will have secretos.   You want salad, rice, chips.? Just salad and chips, we said. So Grumpy got rice and chips and we shared a rather large salad

Very nice too, bit too oily on the salad though.

22 euros, for the wine, bread, olives - gert lush they were too- and the main meal.

Went to Sonia's for coffee, machine broken, so just had the brandy ;) 3 euros.

Back to the bar, a lot of friends there, had a litre of wine, 3 euros.

So for a lovely night out, it cost us 28 euros :Hi: :Hi:

With mugs willing to line up and pay over-the-odds prices in their "restaurants" they don't have to justify anything.

The ankle I broke is giving me a little (well, a lot) of gyp tonight.

Grumpy is blaming the cold water in the pool - I think I'll have to move somewhere warmer. 8-) Blasted arthritis
