Good morning everybody.

A bright but cold morning. Going to M&S to collect holiday money and some shopping. Then just pottering.
Have a good day.

Morning Cruiser, morning everyone

A little chilly this morning, but still t-shirt weather.

Done the watering, having a coffee, then we're off to Castro Verde for breakfast and a wander around. Will probably get some more coasters, as they're really pretty.

Will do the normal weekly shop in Pingo on he way home, have a pit-stop for coffee too, and hopefully collect the rolls.

Pootling this afternoon. Will get in the pool too, which is a bonus this time of year.

Will cook dinner on the hot plate.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it's a sunny one here which makes a nice change after all of the recent rain. The common was frosty when I walked Bill first thing.

I've since been to town to do some shopping and the Tesco food delivery is coming this afternoon. Joe's started at college today. He thought he'd seen the last of Stafford college when he finished his course earlier this year  He's calling around to see Amanda's family afterwards and he's got to pick up some things that they couldn't fit in the cars when she moved. Her Mom was sending some food too and I've bought her a few treats for him to take at the weekend, some packets of plain chocolate biscuits and a big jar of Nutella.

Have a good day all!

Good morning (just) all - a busy day this morning so only getting a chance to get here now. It's a lovely sunny but nippy morning here as well - back to dull, grey, warmer and rain again tomorrow. I'm leaving work a bit earlier today because I've got a vet appointment for one of my cats; but will swing by the allotment on my way home so I can get a cover over the tomato plants - it'll be too cold for them tonight without.

Jan, hope you're having a lovely morning and get everything done. Enjoy the relaxed afternoon
Jo, please send a jar of nutella over my way - love that stuff but never buy it
Cruiser, hope you got your money - when is your next trip and where to?
Saundra, cold here as well - hope you stay warm xx Sainsbury's are doing the same with plastic bags and dare I say good - too many of them flying about the country side
Jen, enjoy the pool

Well as said leaving early today which will be nice. Nothing exciting to report otherwise. Have a lovely day all x

Afternoon all, it is a gorgeous day here. We did our supermarket shop quite early and I had a lovely walk on the pier afterwards. Edward is playing golf this afternoon, in case he will not get to play over the next couple of days as we await Storm Lorenzo. I need to finish changing the bed as I stripped it before we went out. I have a full load of washing on the line and also some ironing awaiting my attention. I have been taking a little break from the gym, but will meet the other ladies for coffee on Friday and maybe get back into the swing of it on Monday. We are looking at a city break to Budapest in March, which could well be booked before the end of the day :cute:

Saundra, Tesco stopped using bags in the Summer. It's a pain to be honest. With four is us we have quite a lot of stuff delivered and before I could quickly empty the bags out of crates at the door and the delivery man would be on his way within a couple of minutes. Now everything's got to be taken individually out of the crates and it takes much longer.
The drivers aren't happy about it either as it's slowing down their rounds.

It's not cutting down on the amount of plastic we use anyway as I'd reuse the bags in Tom and Joe's bedroom bins, once I've run out I'll just have to buy bin bags.

I think the pickers are less careful when just using the crates too. They'd bag alike things together, now things get put in any crate and (for instance) last week there was a 2kg bag of potatoes on top of a big bag of crisps which were flattened. Every week since they've done away with bags they've had to refund us for damaged items due to how they're packed in the crates.

No that's exactly what I'm thinking I'm like you driver leaves them in the hall and it's easy for me to carry them on my Zimmer to the kitchen now it will be awkward and longer I use my bags in the bin,as well only use Morrison's once a month for stuff Iceland don't sell
