Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning, but a little chilly at the moment 8-)

It's Wednesday, so it's hit Ourique later  Need to see Nelson to get some stuff for the pool, pop into Alentejana for wine and cold meats, try the curtain lady, cetro de saude to see if the flu jabs are in yet - should be - then Pingo, chemist and pitstop at the bar for rolls and coffee.

Will be sorting out clothes this afternoon, need to put away the thin summer one's and bring out the slightly heavier autumn one's.

Chicken and mushroom pie for dinner. And I0m cheating with bought puff pastry

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally and Jan. i wish we had your weather. Someone said yesterday that it has rained every day in October so far and I can well believe it.
MrsC and Sil have gone to their dad's. I'm going to do a bit of on-line shopping and then mooch around for a while. It has stopped raining now but everything outside is utterly sodden, so it's going to be an indoor day!
Have a good one all.

Good morning all, another nice autumn morning here. We are all suited and booted, ready to head into town for lunch at the posh Shelbourne Hotel, courtesy of a voucher which was a birthday present from my cousin. It is Edward’s birthday tomorrow so we thought we would use it to celebrate that. No doubt we will have a mooch around the shops too. First I need to go to the post office and take out some money.

Morning everyone

Crommers, I'm with you - although I think we've been a bit drier than you; this rain is just starting to get on my nerves now. So much to do in the garden and I just can't because it's too wet.
Jan and Ally enjoy your lovely sunny days and think of us sodden folks :D
Osc, have fun - what a lovely gift to have received.

Another usual / usual here although I may go past the cat rescue on my way home to socialise with some kittens - three of them about 8 weeks old; found in a warehouse and no mom in sight. They're very scared so quite 'feral' but once you manage to pick them up they settle on your lap for a fuss and a cuddle. They're absolutely adorable

Have a lovely day everyone x

Enjoy lunch Osc :D

I am never, never, never going to take anything to that woman for sewing :cute: She's still working on them :cute:  I'll ring you, she said, when they're done and my husband will drop them off

Probably ready for next summer :cute: :cute:

No flu jab, not got there yet. Grumpy was moaning about walking up the hill for nothing, so we went into the Bombeiros, as they're halfway up the hill and gave our donation for the year.

Lovely and warm now, I'm even thinking of getting in the pool 8-) The water is still 24C, 8-) and there's no wind, so I just might :Hi:

Morning all :D

Rain here

Ally, enjoy lunch with your dad.
Not long for Mrs.C now Crommers.
Enjoy your posh lunch Osc.
Oh blimey Jan, how annoying, it's a wonder she does any business at all!!

We went a little mad yesterday, it dried up nicely in the afternoon so after shopping we winterised the garden back and front. Pruning and tidying all sorted, shouldn't have to worry about it until spring 8-)

Blue Wave this afternoon.

Have a good day :D

Good afternoon all, after a wet start it's sunny, mild and breezy here with hopefully dry the mud just a bit.

The pool on the common is overflowing, there's a drainage system coming off it which is by some old steps and it's pouring down those like a waterfall. I've never seen that happen there before.

I've been for my flu jab this morning. There seems to be a shortage of the 'at risk' ones. I made this appointment online a month ago and couldn't book for Tom and Joe with it being a weekday. I called last week to see if they were going to be doing any Saturday jab clinics and they have two this month but both are fully booked up (apparently they should've received letters asking them to make appointments!). The receptionist said they may do another but if they do it won't be until late November! In the end I got Joe an appointment to have his done at Tesco pharmacy last Saturday, it was free with him being at risk. Tom needs to sort his out.

Anyway, from the doctors I went to town to do a bit of shopping, got home and shortly afterwards the Tesco delivery turned up. I'd booked it for between 11 and 3, they texted this morning with a time of 11-12 and it was actually here at 10.40!
Got that put away and then walked Bill for an hour seeing as it was raining first thing.

Not sure what we're doing tonight. We went to IKEA last night to look at dining tables and chairs and ended up buying so the boxes are in the garage waiting to be built up, might do it tonight or might wait until the weekend.

Have a good day all!
