Morning Ally, morning everyone

Wet :Hi: :Hi: Not chucking it down, just that fine mizzle, but it's still wet

Indoorsy stuff it is then. Grumpy will be the plumber this morning and sort out the slow filling loo cistern. I'll have the "pleasure" of cleaning out the fridge  We wanted to re-pot a couple of plants, but that might have to wait.

We had to move from one bedroom to another in the early hours, as we were being buzzed by a mozzie. Got me a couple of times, before I woke up. There seems to be a lot coming in, somehow, so Grumpy is under orders to inspect all the netting on the windows.

Oh, and the restaurant last night was good :Hi: Plain, simple food, but the place was spotless, the staff very friendly, the prices very reasonable, so that's one we'll be using on a more regular basis. Bread, olives, half a litre of wine, Grumpy had carne porco a Alentejana (large chunks of pork, with clams) and I had black pork tenderloin, coffee, two beers. 25 euros  The quality of the meat was on a par with the Adega and they're more expensive.

I'm sure I heard Grumpy say we can go back next week :o

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

It's been raining heavily, but the sun's trying to come out now, think we're in for one of those on/off days.

The restaurant sounds good Jan, always nice to find somewhere new.

No lie in this morning, Friday's Blue Wave session is the earliest of the week, very inconsiderate of them  Always a bit sore after shopping so no other plans for today, intend to take it nice and easy.

Have a good day :D

Morning everyone

Ally your day sounds rather perfect
Jan, fingers crossed Grumpy can figure out where the mossies are getting in - they can be rather annoying. Lovely news re the restaurant - I just love the prices there :D And hope you get the fridge sorted; I need to do mine as well
Jen, enjoy Blue Wave today.

A sort of usual / usual for me today - lunch today is Zizzi which will be lovely and then I'm hoping to leave at 4pm; it's quiet enough. Having nails done this evening.
So much rain last night - just how there wasn't any flooding during the night / this morning is beyond me; the heavens absolutely opened at one point. Hoping for a quieter night tonight.

Have a lovely Friday everyone xxx

Good morning all, the sun is out but it does look as if there will be showers. Edward is heading out to play golf and I will go to the gym, then lunch in the cafe with the gym ladies. I need to get a couple of prescriptions filled and also ring about a Dexa scan appointment. Possibly some housework this afternoon........

Really brightened up now 8-)

Re-potting done and the fridge too - the rest of the day is mine :Hi:

The dish of the day at the restaurant is 8 euros. For that, you get bread, olives, a drink, main course, dessert and coffee  If you want wine, you get a two glass carafe.

Some restaurants charge 7 or 7.50

Good afternoon all, it's a lovely sunny day here although it's quite cool.

I was up at 5.45am to see Joe off to work, he was going in early so that he'd be finished by 12pm for his drive down to Cornwall to see Amanda for the weekend. He'll be back Sunday night (or the early hours of Monday if the last time is anything to go by!). I then walked Billy and was back in time to see Tom leave, he's going straight to Shannon's after work and he's not back until Sunday evening.

Have a good day all!

Afternoon everyone! The heavens have opened here, after a lovely sunny start! Went into town with B, as it's her day off, and decided to walk home for the exercise, but B got the bus as she had some heavy shopping! Turned out to be a sensible decision on her part, as she got home and dry, and I got soaked despite wearing a raincoat, jeans and boots, and having an umbrella!

Have done a bit of cleaning since I got home, but it's pointless mopping the floors in this weather, as the dogs just tread the wet in :cute:
