20 degrees - if only!
Up at 6.30 this morning to take MrsC to our daughters. In a bit I will do the weekend shop and then maybe some C*r*s*m*s shopping this afternoon.
Cold, grey and rainy here.
Have a good day all.

Morning all

Ally - right now I think I'd kill for 20 degrees   It's 5 degrees here and cold - the air is so wet with rain / damp that just makes everything so much colder; brrrrr.

Kaz, did you have snow yesterday; I heard reports of some in the Gloucester area?

Jen, good luck to E for the blood test and enjoy Blue Wave
Crommers, have a lovely day as well and go easy on the shopping ;-)

Well usual work day for me - Friday lunch is Wagamama and then off to Sainsbury this evening to go shopping for tomorrow; have three friends coming over for lunch and am making lacto free / vegan butternut risotto; I made it the other day for vegan friends and it was absolutely delicious so making it again as one of the guests tomorrow is lacto intolerant.

Hoping to leave early today ;-)

Have a lovely day everyone and stay warm

Morning all, it is fairly bright here but cold and windy, the sea looks grey and sullen. The washing machine just had a conniption so we’ve been mopping up, thankfully the water didn’t spread outside the utility room. I checked the filter yesterday for a missing collar stiffener, Edward maintains that I must not have closed it properly (but I know I did ;) ). Said collar stiffener came out with the overflow this morning

Off to the gym in a while and then into the cafe afterwards. Edward has gone to play golf and will check out the washing machine when he comes back. I plan to watch some of the impeachment hearing in Washington later on, I say “some” but I got so engrossed on Wednesday that I watched it all! I’ll knit while watching.

Evening all - it's my daughter's birthday today - 31!! :D  Can't believe it - she's having a quiet day after her busy week off, we went to the quiz on Wednesday night and had a nice meal beforehand so have sent her some cash today as she might book herself a massage later.

Usual Friday today - started to do a bit of C word shopping! And had a coffee at my usual place, although last week I was taken aback to learn that the owners have retired! He never mentioned it the week before when I was in....so we have new management. Hopefully they'll do as well, if not better than the last. Showery and cold is the weather from Durham.

Hope everyone is well, Ally It must be FAB to have temps at 20 - we can only dream.....

The nearest to us was Birdlip, Ria. About 3 miles out of the city, but much, much, higher ground! We just got rain, rain, and more rain :cute:

It has just drizzled today. I was up early, as we were having a new tumble dryer delivered. My old one was fifteen years old, and very well used. It had started to make strange noises, and occasionally give off a slight smell of burning  so we've replaced it. The new one looks nice and shiny, but I haven't tried it out yet. While I was waiting for delivery I cracked on with my usual Friday cleaning, then later I walked to town and back to get my 10k steps

Not looking forward to SW in the morning, I ate far too much last weekend, and have found it hard to get back on plan this week, but we'll see......
