Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 16 Nov 2019, 07:36

Good morning.

Back to a sensible 22 degrees today. Although we are forecast 3 days of very much needed rain next week. :cute: :cute:

Off for a good stomp with my personal trainer then back for bacon rolls. Yes plural.

Conor's coming over mid morning to spend the day with us. :D :D

Out tonight for a Thai meal. :P

Have a great day.

Morning Ally and Cruiser. Rain again here.I'm taking MrsC to her dad's in a while and getting the paper.
That's about it for today apart from ordering some stuff on line. Oh, and we have to submit something else for the power of attorney.
I think today is a day for reading and the tv.
Pizza later on.
Have a good day all. :)

Good morning all.

Central heating system went on the blink yesterday evening; the fault is that the boiler will not turn off and keeps firing up. So the house is as a hot as toast unless I control it by switching the boiler itself on and off in the garage!
We have had this before, and the trouble is it seems to be an intermittent fault so I really need two or three days permanently on the blink before I can invoke the gasman .... that will probably be Monday's task, then.

Have a good day everyone and don't get cold! :D

Morning all :)

Hope the PT isn't too tough on you Al ;) :P  Have a great time with Conor :D

Crommers, Mick and D have set up a POA, of course it only clicks in if needed, so hopefully never xx

Ossie, that's a pain, but thankfully it hasn't packed up altogether in this cold snap :? Hope it can be easily fixed xx

Morning Jan :) xxx

Well dare I say it, but I feel a bit Christmassy! I should send myself to the naughty step :cute: We're in The Quays and the Victorian Market is in full swing - stalls, Christmas trees everywhere, and best of all the ice rink is back! So we get to sit in Corretto's and watch people falling over, whilst drinking our nice hot drinks :P :D

B is working so I slunk into the SW meeting, weighed in ( ) and slunk out again  Suffice to say that's another reason for the naughty corner :cute: Off to D's in a bit :)

Have a lovely day everyone ((and HoHoHo Merry Christmas!!) xxx

Afternoon all :D

Dull and overcast, but dry..........so far

Hope you get the boiler fixed Ossie, no heating at this time of year isn't good.

We're feeling a tad Christmassy too Kaz. Weather permitting we'd like to get our outside lights up this weekend. Obviously we won't be turning them on before we go away, but if we don't do it now they won't get done at all. Likewise the tree and decs will all go up next weekend, I'm sure we'll be worn out after the journey back so it will be lovely to come home to a cosy festive house.

Went online and booked E in for his appointment at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hosp. It's not until 22 Jan, but tbh that suits us fine. What with our holibobs and Christmas it would be difficult to get there much earlier. Of course we have to wait for the written confirmation.

Yesterday's review at Blue Wave went well, I've signed up for another 6mths and E is still able to get in with me as my 'carer'. It's only £20 a month now, an absolute bargain, going 3 times a week works out at less than £2 a session 8-)

No plans for today, just the usual bed change and washing. Blackpool week for Strictly this evening so we'll be glued to the box.

Have a good day :D

Evening all, we were out and about early today, wanted to go shopping. Got everything on the list, final present for Michael whose birthday is on Tuesday, plus a card and wrapping paper for his presents. I needed a couple of things from the Clinique counter in Boots and was delighted to discover that there was a “money off” day going on there. She didn’t have a particular eye shadow I wanted as they are discontinuing that type, but she slipped her sample one into the bag - told me to cut off the top (it’s a stick) and there will still be plenty on it. Then on to Dunnes Stores where Edward got a pair of cords and I somehow managed to end up with three cheapy dresses  We picked up a chicken which was on special offer, had a nice roast dinner when we got home and plenty left for tomorrow. All settled down now to watch Strictly, I do love seeing the Tower Ballroom where we have danced so many times over the years.

Jen, they have made a super job of The Quays this year 8-) Our outside lights will go up the first weekend of December. Glad E has his appointment sorted.
