Good Morning Friday

Postby JoM » 22 Nov 2019, 07:58

Good morning all, it's dull and drizzly here.

No plans today apart from carpet cleaning and waiting for an Amazon delivery. Hopefully the drizzle will dry up for a walk or two. It's such a shame because everywhere was drying up nicely after a few dry days but we've had heavy rain overnight and that's forecast for much of tomorrow too so the woodland paths and common will be back to a muddy mess again.

Have a good day all!

Morning Jo, morning all.

Dull here.

I've got plenty planned today!

I've been for my walk and now enjoying a coffee.

Going to watch last night's Masterchef and IACGMOOH.

Then off to Plaza Mayor to the Nike factory store. I need some new trainers and running gear.

Then shopping for my Secret Santa pressie at work. The person adores cats so they should be easy enough to buy for.

Back home to book some flights for early next year.

Homework club 4.30 - 6.30 then meeting Don for Friday beers and tapas.

Have a great day.

That's great about M's knee Kaz. xx

Very grey and rainy here too Jo. Ally I'm not surprised you need new trainers, you must go through them with all the yomping!
I'm giving MrsC a lift into town shortly to do some shopping then I'll cook a bolognese to freeze later on. Saundra, sometimes I have the bolognese with chips instead of spaghetti! Common as muck, I am.
Tonight we're having Eliza, she's usually a good sleeper so hopefully no problems there.
Have a good day all.

Morning everyone

Wet :Hi: The rain has stopped for now, but looking at the sky, we'll be getting some more :Hi:

We're off to Castro Verde this morning, to get money for the curtains. I tried to sort it out on-line, but the bank have changed everything, including my log-in   so we need to go over there instead. Will sort out the on-line stuff there too. Will go to Denny's house with the dosh.

Not sure what we'll be doing when we get back. Managed to get some bulbs in yesterday, but it's too wet to do anything in the garden.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all

A dry sunny morning here after a rather wet night... lots of rain means lots of puddles all over. I woke up at 3am with a bit of a scratchy itcy eye, put a cool flannel on it but woke up with morning with one rather puffed up eye - such a pretty look :D I suspect is an allergic reaction so have taken some antihistamines but if it hasn't gone down by lunch time then I'll pop up to the chemist for some advice / eye drops.

And then more sad news for my mom (us). Heard this morning that my uncle (my mom's brother) passed away this morning. He had bladder cancer (diagnosed about 2 or 3 years ago ) but from what I can make out he went in for some procedure and never really recovered from it and has been in intensive care for the past few weeks. It's a blessing and relief for him; but just so hard for those left behind. I just feel for my mom - last year this time she lost her twin sister, this year her brother, a month ago my cousin (her nephew). It's just horrid. But if I may be honest, I'm glad my uncle passed now and not in a few weeks time because that would have meant my mom cancelling her trip here for Christmas for the third year running. And after all this I am so determined to make it an amazing time for her. Lots of favourite foods, trips to garden centres and just having company

So whilst not a happy start to the day for me; onwards and upwards and a reminder to enjoy every moment you can and live your life to the fullest.

Morning all, it’s a miserable wet day here, and not forecast to get much better. Gym this morning, lunch in the cafe afterwards. We might go dancing tonight. Ria, I am sorry for your loss, but I hope your Mum is able to travel to you for Christmas.

Sorry to see that Ria, hugs to you and your mom.

Change of plan here. The weather is appalling, gale force wind and the wain is horizontal  so we're staying put. Today is the last of the really bad weather, hopefully. If it eases this afternoon, we'll go then.

Molly is being wise too, she's asleep behind the fire

Afternoon all :)

Ria, I am so sorry (((((x)))))

Well I shot out at 9am to try out a new Zumba class with Emma - not instead of the Monday one, but a possible additional one - but Em and I were the only ones to show up! We know Aaron as he's helped Jane with her Zumba classes, and dance days, so we sat around chatting and then he took us through some new moves for future classes. Bless him, we both offered to deliver some flyers for him ;)

We were out before 11, so went for a cuppa and a long chat in Starbucks, then hit The Range and B&M bargains. I only got home half an hour ago
