Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 27 Nov 2019, 07:34

Good morning.

Sunny and warm. 8-)

We're going over to Calahonda for the day to visit a friend. We'll have a walk on the beach and lunch somewhere. :D

Have a great day.

Good morning Al and all, it's another wet one here. I usually love Autumn, it's my favourite season, but we've hardly gone two days in a row without rain and it looks so gloomy.

It's a waiting day today, Amazon and Tesco are delivering. I'll get some housework done while I'm waiting, I know at least that the Tesco delivery isn't coming until lunchtime but the Amazon one could be any time. It's not anything exciting; and replacement mains smoke detector and some Filofax inserts.
My sister bought me my Filofax for Christmas 2005 (I know because I still have notes from back then in there) and I wondered what one earth I'd need a Filofax for....but I'd be lost without it, even in a time when everything is online I prefer to use it. Anyway, my old one was getting a bit tattered and it was one of the smaller sized ones so I treated myself to a new and larger one last week so I've now got the task of copying everything over.

Have a good day all :D

Morning Ally, morning everyone

sorry for not posting the past two days - somehow the time / day just seems to run away with me. But then being busy at work does make the day go quicker :D

Enjoy the visit and your day Ally.
Jo, I have a filofax and same as you I would be totally lost without it. I tried the online calendar thing but it just wasn't for me. As for the rain - it just seems to be rather never ending. We've had a few dry'ish days but invariably at some point during the day / night it'll rain. I so desperately need to give the lawn it's final mow but it's just too wet.

Well a usual / usual for me which is always nice. Big excitement in my brothers household; Nadine (my SIL) has her family visiting tomorrow. Her mom and step dad have been before (about 10 years ago), but it's the first time her brother and nephew are coming over. Everyone is totally uber-excited :D

Have a lovely day everyone and enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning all :D

Very wet and miserable here

It's all go here, the porch peeps are due around 10ish. It was supposed to have been done weeks ago, but better late than never I suppose. Just hope they don't make too much mess and even more important don't disturb the outside Christmas lights!!

Managed to get quite a bit of E's packing done yesterday, just his shirts left. Not so far ahead with mine, but all the underwear and swim stuff is done. I use packing cubes, they're absolutely brilliant, so much easier to see where everything is and much less creasing.

Have a good day :D

Morning everyone

Was rather pleasant earlier, but the clouds have come back. Warm and no rain, at the moment ;)

I bet Nadine is hopping with excitement Ria :D How long are they here for?

Waiting for Heldar, builder, to either ring or come up. We have a leak in the pool :o Losing about an inch a day  I have no idea how they would find it. It's not in the pump room and the pool itself is solid concrete. And we how no idea what sort or how long the guarantee is

So I'll leave Grumpy here after breakfast and do the Ourique run myself. Post office to pay the motorway tolls and drop off the broken router to be returned and then the supermarket. The other stuff will have to wait.

I also need to contact a friend, to help with the passport renewals. I cando the form, I can't do the photos, my phone doesn't do photos.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

That sounds very efficient Jen! A walk on the beach Ally, I'd love that.
Wet and horrible here, as per. The rain is standing in the furrows of the farmers field around here. The ground is so sodden it can't take any more rain.
MrsC and her sister have gone to their dad's house. She has been making noises about new curtains and light fittings.
Cottage pie for tea and I need to start thinking about C*******s presents.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, there was some very watery sunshine for a short while, but it has clouded over again and it seems to be a bit mizzley. I had a good shopping expedition yesterday and don’t have many presents left to buy. Miss Osc messaged me at 8am saying that the childminder is sick, so I’ll be collecting Kellie from school and she’ll be here until about 5pm. Michael goes to tennis after school so Miss Osc will pick him up from that. Gym this morning and I need to go to the post office beforehand to take out money. I seem to have tweaked my back so I’ll take it easy at the gym. Supermarket shop this afternoon.

It's been super foggy all day so far, hasn't lifted yet. Expecting rain soon, for 12 hours.....oh it's certainly grey alright!!

Nothing further to report, I'm still off work and have a 1% improvement in how I feel but not enough to go back to work today. I've had enough energy to have a shower and wash my hair, tidied up in the kitchen a bit and the living room. Had a phone call from the leisure centre to say tomorrow's Aquafit has been cancelled (  ) so I've just been in text touch with my aqua pal to see if we'll still meet up for just coffee, but her elderly mum's had a fall and is in hospital so she doesn't know yet...

Have a good Wednesday all, and stay dry! xx

We both did the Ourique run, did all the bits and bobs that had to be done, even remembered my blood test results ;) Some are okay, some not so okay  and saw Nelson, who will come up either this afternoon or tomorrow and sort out the leak. Apparently, something to do with one of the many valves, so Grumpy has turned everything off, saving us water.

We both forgot to get some things from the Chinese shop and I forgot to order some liquid stuff from the chemist

It's quite warm, with sunshine and white, fluffy clouds, with a lot of blue sky. Lovely, for the end of November 8-)

Off to make a curry, using shoulder of pork.
