Morning Ally, morning everyone

Dull and cloudy, although we are promised some sunshine today. Mild ish at 17C.

Hugo, the gas man will be here today, hopefully. He said yesterday it will be a day or two, as his truck was off the road. Other than that, we won-t be doing a lot today.

Also expecting visitors sometime over the next few days. Antonia has a friend, Carla, staying with her and Carla wants to come and see what we-v done since her last visit. Rather a lot, as it has been three years since she last visited Portugal. Looking forward to that :) Carla does the most beneficial massage, with hardly touching us, just a gentle touch. I floated for a couple of hours after the last one 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Merry morning everyone - happy Friday 13th! Christmas Jumper day today so I'm wearing mine :D It's lovely and warm which is an added bonus. It's a rather dull and dreary day today.

Lunch today is Wagamama and then off to Karl and Nadine for dinner this evening - too much eating going on; oh dear

Jan, enjoy that massage, it sounds amazing!
Ally have a fabulous Friday as well

Have a lovely day all and stay warm xxx

Morning all :)

Finishing off the packing ready for our flight this afternoon.  We land 7.30pm so probably won't get back much before 10.30ish.  Think it will be straight off to bed and worry about the cases tomorrow. We'll definitely notice the change in temperature brrrr !!!

Have a good day :)

Good morning all, the weather can't make it's mind up today. It was beautifully sunny a few minutes ago and now it's grey.

We're off out tonight to John's company Christmas night out at a hotel in Sutton Coldfield. I said I wasn't going to go but he guilted me into saying yes. He doesn't want to go himself but says that he feels obliged to. It's always mass produced lukewarm food and then 'party' music played too loud meaning that you can't talk to anyone.
Suppose I'd better find the heels that I haven't worn since last year's night out

Enjoy lunch Ria, I love Wagamama. We had my take on their chicken katsu curry for dinner last night. Tom came rushing back this morning after driving off and then remembering that it was Christmas jumper day

Safe flight Jen. I hope you've got a cardi! I remember coming back from Florida at this time of year, getting to the car in Manchester, finding the locks frozen and crying; I was so fed up at being back in the cold

Enjoy your days everyone xx

Morning all, it’s quite bright here but rather windy and I can see rainy clouds out at sea. Today I feel noticeably better and have quite a list to work on over the next couple of days. This morning I’m meeting my gym friends for coffee after class, I’ve decided not to go back until after Christmas. Yesterday, I heard from the consultant’s secretary saying that the consultant wants me to have certain blood tests before Christmas so I’ve been able to arrange that for Monday morning. Right, on with the list!

Oh, when my sister was in Aer Lingus, they used to call winter flights back from places like the Canaries, “Jaysus” flights - people would board in shorts and flip flops, then when they would land in Dublin and the door opened, it would be “ah Jaysus it’s freeezing”. That is even more effective when said in a flat Dublin accent
