Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 15 Dec 2019, 06:47

Good morning.

Stuck record time....sunshine and 20 degrees again. 8-)

After this morning's walk it's going to be a chill out and lazy day. :D :D

Yesterday's lunch with Conor was lovely...4 hours sitting in the sunshine and non-stop blethering.

My sis is on her way to Glasgow at sparrow O'Clock today. She's spending a few days with dad before the two of them go back to France to spend Christmas and New Year together. Mark (her hubby) is also flying in but going to the East Midlands to spend a few days with his mum then the 4 of them will all be together in France. Sis has been like a demon organising everything. :x :x

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunshine and high cloud this morning.

Glad your dad will be with family for Christmas Ally x

Weeding day  I was having a wander around yesterday, feeding the plants and the main bank by the pool needs sorting out. Ice plants to be cut back and just a general tidy up. Luckily, Jose Felipe brought the sheep up this morning, so they're in for a feast  Normally, I'd give the weeds to the donkeys, but the sheep are nearer

Last nights potatoes need a little fine tuning, so will try them again next week. Must be experiment week-end, as I'm putting a different filling in tonights dinner too

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

That's nice about your dad Ally.
Jan, I first read that as wedding day!
A bit of pottering today. MrsC's arm is a bit better but a torn tendon can take a long time to heal, and I know what she's like. Resting up doesn't come naturally to her, she wants to be up and doing.
I wish we had 20c Ally, I'm well jel of your weather!
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it is a nice bright morning here but cold, although we had no frost overnight. We are just mooching around this morning and going to a Christmas dance this afternoon which should be fun. I did all the cards yesterday and everything else on my list too, so I can take the day off!

Morning all :)

Ally, that will be lovely for your dad, you girls are really looking after him :) (((x)))

Jan, the donkeys' loss is the sheep's gain! ;)

Crommers, I hope you can get Mrs C to take it easy xx

Osc, it's great to hear that you are feeling up to dancing, how are the the family doing now? xx

Well, it was a very early start for us! B is working, and Mick always gives her a lift on Sundays, because of the buses, so I tagged along so we could come straight down to the Quays. Corretto's gets very busy on Sundays just before Christmas, and getting here early is the best way to get a comfy seat ;) So we've been here since it opened at 9.30, had breakfast and read the papers :?

The sky looked very yellow first thing, I thought it might be going to snow, but it just rained instead :x

Did most of the present wrapping last night, thank goodness! Only B's left to do. I was going to finish it, but my back was killing me, so I stopped and did a few "cat and cow" Pilates/Yoga stretches instead

Have a great day everyone :) xx

Morning all :)

One minute bright, the next it's raining :?

You girls are certainly looking after your dad Ally, so pleased he'll be with family over Christmas.
Hope you manage to get Mrs.C to rest Crommers.
Glad to hear you feel well enough for some dancing Osc.
Most of our pressies wrapping was done and posted before we went away Kaz. Just the boys to do now, no rush we won't see them until Boxing Day.

I was planning to get back to my Blue Wave sessions tomorrow, but they sent out a notification half way through our holiday to say the pool was closed because the dehumidifier has broken down. To fix it they need a new part which actually needs to be built so they'll be closed until the new year. They are reimbursing December's fee, which is a result for us as we were away for half of the month, but I really would prefer to lose the money and get the sessions in. I'll have missed over a month which will put me back a bit, but it's just one of those things.

More laundry today, it seems never ending, but definitely no ironing. The cottons can wait until nearer April and our trip to Barbados, they won't be needed before then. Everything else gets hung up after a good shake, job done 8-)

We also need to pop out for some shopping, need fresh stuff, fruit and veg mainly. We won't be going far, just over to the small Tesco at Manston. Hoping it's not too manic.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Hi everyone! We have had sunshine all day but not 20 degrees!!! Nearer to 3, so pretty chilly, but we wrapped up and went out for a walk, into Durham along the riverbank this week. We stopped off at a newish place, Coho, for a coffee and a snack but it wasn't up to much, doubt we'll go there again. Think we did about 15k steps but I wasn't wearing my fitbit thingy

Work yesterday and then needed to pop to Asda as it's the only place I can buy Mornflake oats for my porridge, also bought some fresh stuff as well and then decided to call on my sister who I haven't seen since before I was poorly. I took her C cards and we had a chat and then when I got home, T's SIL was here with cards so we had a nice chat too!

Weekends just fly by don't they??

Jen that's like us with our Aquafit classes, I've not been to a class now for four weeks, two were cancelled as they couldn't get cover and the teacher was away, and two I was ill and didn't go, so this week I'll be aching afterwards!! I'd much rather have been able to go to all of them, especially as this will be the last class (this Thursday) till next year :o

Hope Mrs Crommers is ok, did I miss what happened? Hard to relax when you know there is lots to do! Good luck! x

Saundra did you get any snow? Woke up to several areas in our region having had some, Sutton Bank was closed it was so bad! Not a flake here but lots in the Durham Dales and on higher ground.

Have a great evening all xx
