Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 23 Dec 2019, 07:08

Good morning.

Sunny and 24 degrees forecast. 8-) 8-)

Leaving for a yomp with David at 9.30am. It's a long one but I need to be back around 5ish as I'm out with a few friends tonight for a birthday 'do' and a meal in the Thai restaurant. :D :D

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and all :)

Joe's left for work, he's dropping Amanda at home on the way. I was summoned to the other living room last night with the word 'Help' in a text, they were booking a holiday and hadn't done that before. Good job they asked for help too as I managed to save them some money! They're going to Rome in June and Joe was click happy on the extras. Going through the online booking form he selected airport transfers £88 and insurance at £36. A quick look online and I found that they can get a train from the airport to a station 300m from the hotel for €8 each and couples insurance for around £10.

John should be back before lunch, it's been nice having the house to myself over the weekend but I've missed them all.

Tonight is the night we meet Amanda's parents! I'll update you later

Enjoy the yomp Al!

Crommers, how's Mrs C now?

Have a good day all xx

Morning Ally, Jo and everyone

Misty start and it's getting thicker as I type

Enjoy your yomp Ally :)

Late start, amazing how a quiet night, no howling wind or rain, can make a difference

Off to Ourique after breakfast. Need to pay Nelson for last weeks work and do the normal run around. Centro de saude to collect a prescription and they have to have the new passport numbers, Chinese looking for shoes still and then to Pingo. Don't need a lot, could actually manage without, but I'm doing the desserts for Christmas Day, so need some gelatine and condensed milk.

If the mist clears and the sun comes out, the washing machine will be on, but that can wait too.

Hope Mrs C is being a good patient Crommers ;) ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it’s quite a nice day here. We are looking after two coughing sniffly children this morning as Miss Osc is bringing her friend E for her chemo, so E’s husband can spend the morning with their children. Michael is lying on the couch reading a book and Kellie is on a chair, wringing every last bit of drama out of not being very well, I’m not sure how we ended up with such a little drama queen  I have plenty to do today as has Edward, he is preparing to cook the ham in his new Instant Pot and I think he is also going to make mince pies. Busy busy!!

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny here :D

Good luck with the parental meeting Jo.
Saundra have a lovely day with Scarlett.
Hope Mrs.C is being a good patient Crommers.

We've had a lovely weekend having Hannah here, a real treat. Yesterday we all went down to the harbour to look at the lights, it was magical, I'm so glad we came to live here.

We'll be popping out to the small Tesco at Manston later, hoping it won't be as frenetic as the main store. We don't need very much, just a few bits. It's just the two of us again Christmas Day, we'll be with Z and the boys Boxing Day.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Change of plan

Took one look at Pingo's carpark and decided to go to Alentejana for the gelatine etc. What we don't have, we'll manage without until next week.

Paid Nelson, very reasonable, sorted out the centro de saude and even got a pair of shoes. Nothing exciting, but black and fit

Waiting to hear if our friends are still on for drinks at the bar tonight.

Enjoy your evening Jo :)

I'm at work atm, in today all day as per, and then tomorrow until 3pm. After that I'm off till Jan 6th, mostly holiday, some rota-ed time off. The shop is open between the holidays which is quite unusual for our branch.

Feeling a bit glum today despite the sunshine. I didn't sleep well....after about a month of T and I sleeping in separate rooms, (me being ill and then him) he has returned and I had forgotten how flippin' HOT he is!!! And I don't mean in a good way!! Plus he's still got a nasty cold and he's breathing his germs over me in the night....not good.

Also having a little bit of upset re Jen and I feel like I will have to say something but I don't want to spoil Christmas by doing so, and yet there isn't really another good time. I'll explain in a different thread.

Glad you have had a lovely time with Harry Kaz, the time flies when you only see them occasionally.

LOL Osc, how our little ones make us smile!! :D

Have a good day all xx

My Tesco delivery just came. I was amazed that the only substitution was the sprouts, I'd ordered the normal 19p bag and they substituted that with £2.50 worth of ready prepared fresh ones - for 19p  I hate peeling sprouts so that's a huge bonus! :D

Thanks Jen and Jan. Joe and Amanda are both nervous in case we all don't get on...I can't see that happening

Oh Gal, I hope you can work things out xx

Saundra, I'd rather have a meal than a buffet. I assumed we were having lunch at my Mom and Dad's house on Boxing Day, because that's what we've done for years (apart from last year*), so I rang her yesterday to ask if it was okay for Amanda to come too and was told it's not lunch, it's a buffet in the evening. I'd been SO looking forward to getting home and watching the football on Boxing Day night too.

*Last year she asked if we'd be going round on Boxing Day, again I assumed for lunch seeing as it's a tradition, so I rang on Boxing Day morning and asked what time they wanted us there only to be told that anytime would do (which seemed odd seeing as they always eat early and she usually says 11.30 but I thought I'd better ask) and when we got there all we got was a plate of mince pies and a bowl of peanuts
